Metal shaft thermometer with shaft sleeve.
The subject of the present invention is a metal shaft thermometer with a shaft cover to protect the shaft when the thermometer is carried in the pocket, transport, etc. According to the present invention, the shaft cover has a holding device for the upper part of the thermometer through which the thermometer shaft can Execution of the measurement can be plugged in so that it remains free from touch by the hand.
The shaft cover is expediently equipped with a holder that allows it to be carried in the pocket. It can consist of heat-insulating material. The thermometer can also have means in the cover both in the transport position and in the measurement position to prevent it from falling out. Shift be assured.
In the accompanying drawing, FIGS. 1 and 2 show an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention.
It shows :
Fig. 1 shows the shaft cover with the thermometer arranged therein, as it BEZW during transport. is carried in the pocket,
2 shows the arrangement of the thermometer on the shaft cover of the measurement.
The shaft sleeve labeled A, on which the holder B is arranged, contains the shaft thermometer C, e.g. B. with a bimetallic spring, which is stuck with its shaft D in the shell A.
The shaft cover has an opening E through which the thermometer shaft is inserted during the measurement. To secure the thermometer in the sheath A, both in the transport and in the measurement position, a threaded pin P is provided on the thermometer C. The opening E contains a corresponding thread so that the thermometer can be screwed in in the measuring position and is therefore secured against falling out.
The upper part of the cover A can also have a thread, so that the thermometer can be screwed to the cover A in the transport position. Of course, the screwing is only one of the possible ways of fastening the thermometer in the sheath 9 in the transport and measurement position. A spring-loaded locking device could also be provided or some other device securing the thermometer in the appropriate position.
The shown shaft thermometer with shaft cover ensures that the thermometer is used during transport and / or. is protected from being carried in the bag. Furthermore, the thermometer can be inserted through the sleeve to carry out the measurement, whereby it is achieved that. Influences of heat from the hand of the person measuring the thermometer, which would impair the measurement accuracy, can be avoided. But even when measuring high temperatures, the heat-insulating cover is located between the thermometer and the hand of the person measuring, so that unpleasant effects on the hand of the person measuring are avoided.
