-Suspension device for cycle trailers. The invention relates to a suspension device for cycle trailers, charac terized in that it comprises, on each side of the chassis of the trailer, a lever which assumes a vertical position under the action of the weight of the chassis, the 'upper end of this lever carrying the axis of the wheel, while its lower end is freely articulated on a member connected to the frame.
Trailer cycles have already been attached to the cycles of which the axis of each of the two wheels is carried by a lever fixed to a transverse bar passing through bearings fixed below the chassis of the trailer and in which the ends of this bar can oscillate thanks to a torsional elasticity thereof, the part of which also distant from the two wheels is subject to, not to turn normally or possibly to turn only at a very small angle under the influence of a great force compressing a powerful res callus spell.
In the application of the object of the invention to. this known device, a second lever is added to the aforementioned lever, the lower end of which is articulated on the first, tan say that its upper end carries the axis of the wheel, located notably above the bottom of the chassis, this second lever taking a vertical position under the action of the weight of said frame.
When rolling, this low-frame device gives excellent damping of various shocks, and the stability of the entire trailer is improved.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention, side view in FIG. 1 and front view in FIG. 2.
The usual levers 1 are fixed to the bar 2 having a torsional elasticity and the middle of which can only take a slight angular movement by driving a lever 3 with return spring 4 placed against the bottom of the frame 5. The cylindrical ends of this bar pass through bearings 6 fixed to the frame. On each side of the latter a lever 7 is articulated to the lever 1 and carries the axis of the wheel 8.
The articulation between the two levers is free, but the contact surfaces at 9, which are relatively large, nevertheless give a slight braking by friction. The hinge pin has a conical part 10 for the play trap.
