Description

Process for the production of paper, in particular for electrotechnical purposes. To improve the dielectric and physical properties of geschich ended insulation materials, a method is known to be used, which consists in that between impregnated or unimpregnated Pa pier webs layers of a hochwer term insulation material placed respectively. glued and in certain cases pressed together under pressure and heat.

Insulating bodies of this type often have the deficiency that when the known binding agents are used, for example glues or resins made from cresol-phenol-formaldehyde, phthalic anhydride, ureas, casein, melamine, etc., there is insufficient bonding between the intermediate layers or with the paper, go that after @aem pressing and cooling, air bubbles form,

or a separation of the layers occurs easily at all.

Okh has now: shown that if one uses parts of at least one high-quality, solid insulating material in any form, for example in flakes or leaves, that is suitable for paper production, when hot-drying it does not melt , mixed with cellulosic mass and felted with it,

Significantly higher dielectric values can be achieved on the layered finished products than when using ordinary hsolnerpapi @ ars without the disadvantage mentioned above occurring with these products.

According to the process according to the invention, it is possible, for example, to produce homogeneous hard paper with a content of felted mica of up to 50%. This type of paper can be used, for example, to produce insulating layers between the lamellae and to produce frontal insulation rings in collector construction, with the elasticity of the felted mica flakes being particularly effective in the direction of pressure.

The wearability, tracking resistance and heat resistance of such intermediate insulation layers can largely be adapted to the respective requirements by means of suitable binding agents, since the paper produced according to the invention shows good acceptance for every binding agent. Similar proportions are achieved when flakes or flakes of other inorganic insulating materials such as glass, glass fibers, bento:

nit etc., also from mulose derivatives, such as acetyl cellulose, nitrocellulose, benzyl cellulose etc., from vinyl derivatives such as polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene etc., are felted into the paper pulp as high-quality insulating materials,

whereby the disadvantages of the thermaplastic character3 of these last insulating materials are relegated to the background. Furthermore, it is also possible and in certain cases even expedient to add the parts of high-quality insulating material to the raw cellulose.
