Brateinrichtung.
Roasting device. The subject matter of the present invention is a roasting device which is characterized by a frying pan on which a receptacle for 01 and fat is attached to the side of the pan rim, which is connected to the inside of the pan by an overflow.
Thanks to this design, outside the heating zone of the gas flame or electric hotplate on which the pan is placed, an Ö.1- or fat reserve can be kept in the receptacle, which remains warm and liquid during frying or braising, but without boiling down and to crust or to evaporate, and if necessary part of this reserve can be returned to the pan at times.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawings, specifically showing: FIG. 1 a frying pan in longitudinal section and FIG. 2 in plan view with the cover removed; Fig. 3 shows on a larger scale the cover in the use position and Fig. 4 in the open position on the pan.
In the drawing, 1 is the frying pan, e.g. B. made of cast aluminum (injection molding), the bottom of which is provided with parallel ribs 1r like a grill. A receptacle 2 is cast on the side of the conical pan edge and is connected to the interior of the pan by a recess 3 for the overflow that does not extend to the pan bottom.
The bottom of the receptacle 2 is on the inside at the same level as the inner surface of the pan bottom; while the lower floor area of the receptacle is slightly higher than the support surface of the pan bottom. Against the slightly raised, straight outer edge of the receptacle 2, its side edges run slightly rising up to a height above the edge of the pan. On the outer edge of the receptacle 2, the handle 4, for example made of wood, is attached, which is inclined slightly upwards.
On top of the edge of the frying pan is a precisely fitting cover 6, for. B. off. Aluminum sheet, put on, which is reinforced by an edge bead 6w (Fig. 3 and 4). This cover is connected to the frying pan with a plug-in hinge.
The latter is formed by an eye-shaped holder 5 arranged diametrically opposite the receptacle 2 on the outside of the pan edge and a band-shaped tab i attached to the side of the cover cap 6, which protrudes freely into the slot of the holder 5 and is bent so that it is a Allowing the cover 6 to be folded up into the position shown in FIG. 4 and supporting it in this position,
so that it cannot fall backwards. At the front, the cover has a hand grip 8 for lifting the same. Of course, you can take the cover completely open if you don't need it. The necessary air access when using the cover is through the overflow 3.
When roasting and braising, the excess of fat or oil can run into the receptacle by tilting the frying pan forward using the handle 4; the overflowed liquid is kept warm in the receptacle and as soon as you think it is necessary, you can raise as much liquid as he wants from the receptacle in the pan by lifting the handle 4. In this case, the frying liquid contained in the receptacle cannot dry out or evaporate. Of course, you can also bake in the closed room under the cover, for example by placing a cake tin underneath.
For small amounts of baked goods, this type of baking is much more efficient than in the oven of an electric or gas stove, since. the amount of metal to be heated in the frying pan and the cover is relatively small and the heat in the narrow space under the cover is kept well together.
The receptacle could also be arranged on the side of the pan edge opposite the handle in place of the hinge, and then two hinges of a similar type as the one described could be provided for the cover cap on the side.
