Spfilliasten.
Filling loads. The invention relates to a cistern for use with toilet bowls, which is particularly, but not exclusively, suitable for arrangement as deep-seated guests, in which the flushing process is triggered by direct actuation of a trigger element such as a push button, etc.
According to the invention, the shut-off valve for the outlet opening is attached to the lower end of a vertically movable valve rod in this cistern, which is connected to a lever that can be tilted by the triggering element of the flushing process and is influenced by a force acting on it in such a way that, after opening the The shut-off valve automatically holds the raised valve in the open position by actuating the release device,
until the cistern is completely emptied.
An embodiment of the subject invention is shown in the drawing, for example. Fig. 1 is a vertical section through the cistern and Fig. 2 is a plan view.
The cistern shown has a container 1; the inflow line 2 penetrates through its side wall and the outlet opening 3, to which the outflow line is attached, is arranged in the bottom of the latter. 4 connects.
The outlet opening 3 is dominated by the outflow valve 5, which is supported by a vertically displaceable standpipe 6, which serves both as a valve rod and as an overflow pipe. A guide tube 7 fastened in the outlet opening 3 and penetrating into the tube 6 is used to guide the valve 5.
A pot 8 is soldered to the upper end of the standpipe 6, the pipe 6 penetrating through the bottom of the pot and its upper end being approximately at the same height as the edge of the pot. An opening 9 at the bottom of the pot connects the tube 6 with the interior of the pot.
The standpipe 6 'with the attached pot 8 is suspended by means of a wire bracket 10 on a hook 11 which forms one arm of a lever 12, the other arm of which is formed by a rod 13 on which an adjustable counterweight 14 is arranged . The lever 12 is mounted by means of the axis of rotation 15 in the side wall of the box 1 and can be pivoted counterclockwise from the position shown by actuating a lever 16, the hook 11 pulling the standpipe 6 up and opening the outflow valve.
A float 17 controls the water supply in the usual way. The valve rod 18 of the inflow valve 19 actuated by the float controls the filling tube 20 of the box 1 and a small filling tube 21, which is intended for filling the pot 8, at the same time.
At rest, the cistern is filled with water to approximately the level shown. The float 17 keeps the lines 20 and 21 closed, the pot 8 is empty and the shut-off valve 5 is pressed by the weight of the water on its seat. If flushing is to be carried out, the lever 16 is actuated and the lever 12 is pivoted so that the standpipe 6 with the valve 5 and the pot 8 is raised. The contents of the box now flows out through the line 4 and the pressure of the water on the valve 5 is no longer effective.
The lever 12 is then held by the counterweight 14 in its position in which it was brought ge by actuating the lever 16, that is, the valve 5, the tube 6 and the pot -8 remain in their high position. With the outflow of the water from the box, the float 17 opens the inflow valve 19 and water passes through the line 20 in the box as well as through, the pipe '21 into the pot B.
Part of the water flowing into the pot 8 escapes through the opening 9 and flows through the pipe 6 into the drain 4. The inflow to the pot 8 is measured in such a way that it becomes full as soon as all the water is out of the box 1 has flowed out. The filled pot is now heavier than the counterweight 14, and the standpipe 6 with the pot and the valve 5 falls down into the position shown, whereby the outlet opening 3 is closed again. The box 1 fills up again and the float 17 which rises up gradually closes the lines 20 and 21.
The water in the pot 8 now flows out through the opening 9 and enters the siphon of the toilet bowl, where it is used to form the odor trap, which is therefore always there, even if, for example, a vacuum created in the line the siphon should be sucked empty after flushing. The counterweight 14 can no longer lift the emptied pot 8, as the @Vasserclruck now acts on the valve 5.
By appropriately setting the counterweight 14 in the lever arm 13, the closure of the valve 5 can be achieved exactly at the desired time. : Should the inflow valve 19 not work or the float 17 fail to turn off the water inflow, the inflowing water can flow out through the standpipe 6 open at the top. As is readily apparent, the cistern presented can also be designed differently in construction details than in the example presented. In particular, the counterweight 14 could be replaced by a corresponding spring acting on the lever arm 1.3.
The counterweight itself could be designed as a pot provided with an outflow opening, which is carried by the lever 13 and in which the water in the gas would be immersed. The pot 8 carried by the valve rod and the filling tube 21 are not required in this case. As long as the valve 5 is closed, no weight effect is exerted on the lever 13 by the filled pot immersed in the water. But if the valve is opened and the water flows out of the gas,
the weight of the filled pot then acting on the one lever arm holds the valve in the open position until, after the gas has been emptied, the weight of the pot has been reduced as a result of the pot being emptied with delay through its outflow opening, so that the
The shut-off valve of the box is returned to its closed position by the weight of the valve rod acting on the other lever arm.
