Seat post for bicycles. The subject of the present invention is a seat post for bicycles, as well as for bicycles as for motorcycles. The novelty consists in the fact that a torsion spring is inserted between the saddle and the saddle support, which tries to keep the saddle in its central position.
In the accompanying drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the subject of the invention is shown schematically, and it shows: Fig. 1 the seat post in section, Fig. 2: a view in the direction of arrow I, Fig. 3 is a view in the direction of arrow 1t, Fig. 4 is a section according to the line IV-IV in Fig. 1, Fig. 5 and 6, the seat post with attached saddle, in side and front view.
The saddle carrier 1 of FIGS. 1 to 5 be seated two legs. The leg 2 is clamped in a known manner in the frame 3 of the bicycle. The leg 4 of the carrier 1 runs approximately horizontally, it carries a sleeve 5 on its free end, on which the saddle 17 is attached. The leg 4 has a hole 6 with a rectangular cross-section on the inside. On the outside, the leg 4 is partially cylindrical, whereupon it can be easily rotated: the sleeve 5 is inserted.
This sleeve 5 is provided with two slots 7, 7 'in the bottom 8. The leg 4 also has a slot 10 in the bottom 9, of the same width but twice the height of the slots 7, 7 '. A U-shaped leaf spring 13 has two legs 13, 13 ', one end of which is in the slots in the bottom. 8 of the sleeve 5 are fastened, while the other ends are fastened in the slot 10 of the bottom 9.
After exiting the slot 10, the legs of the leaf spring are bent at right angles into a groove 11 in the base 9 and thereby secure the sleeve 5 against longitudinal displacement. The Hü'lläe can now be rotated about its longitudinal axis against the action of the leaf spring, which tries to keep the saddle in its central position, to a predetermined extent.
A saddle 17 is fastened to the sleeve 5 in a known manner by means of a clamping jaw 15 and a viewing hood 16. The saddle 17 can be pivoted from its horizontal position with the sleeve 5 in the direction of the arrows 111. This pivoting is possible in both directions at a certain angle,
as far as the torsion spring 12 allows a rotation of the sleeve 5 with respect to the leg 4 of the seat post.
The pivot angle of the saddle from its central position can be limited by a bolt 18 which is fixed in the sleeve 5 and forms stops and slides in elongated holes 19 of the thigh fish 4 (FIG. 4).
Both parts, saddle support 1 and sleeve; @ could e.g. B. be made of injection molding. The illustrated arrangement of the saddle causes the cyclist to sit more comfortably. The saddle weighs when driving, according to the movement of the legs. As a result, the clothes are usually better protected at the seat.
Driving safety is considerably increased by the fact that the driver is also sitting horizontally in the curve and the skid is almost entirely a.usgesehl4@sen iAt.
