Description

       

  Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Äthers des     Thioammelins.       Vorliegendes Patent bezieht sich auf ein  Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Äthers des       Thioammelins,    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass  man     Thioammelin    in alkalischem Medium  mit     Äthylenehlorhydrin    behandelt.  



  Der so erhaltene     Thioammelinoxäthyl-          äther    ist ein farbloses kristallines Pulver  vom     Schmelzpunkt    185 bis 186   C. Er soll  als Zwischenprodukt zur Herstellung von  Kunstharzen und Textilhilfsmitteln Verwen  dung finden.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  143 Teile     Thioammelin    werden in     etwa     1500 Teilen Wasser und 126 Teilen Natron  lauge 40'     Be    bei 35 bis 40' C gelöst. Man  lässt zu der Lösung unter Rühren und ge  lindem Kühlen 88 Teile     Äthylenchlorhydrin     einlaufen, heizt auf 90 bis 95   C, lässt bis  zur     Beendigung    der Umsetzung bei dieser  Temperatur rühren und filtriert die heisse  Lösung von flockigen     Abscheidungen    ab. Das  Reaktionsprodukt, das beim Erkalten der    Lösung in farblosen     Nädelchen    auskristalli  siert, wird abgesaugt, mit     kaltem    Wasser ge  waschen und im Vakuum getrocknet.

   Es  kann durch     Umkristallisieren    aus Wasser  noch weiter gereinigt werden.  



  In gleicher Weise kann man auch     Äthy-          lenbromhydrin    verwenden.

  The thioammelinoxethyl ether obtained in this way is a colorless crystalline powder with a melting point of 185 to 186 C. It is said to be used as an intermediate in the manufacture of synthetic resins and textile auxiliaries.



  <I> Example: </I> 143 parts of thioammelin are dissolved in about 1500 parts of water and 126 parts of 40 'Be sodium hydroxide solution at 35 to 40' C. 88 parts of ethylene chlorohydrin are allowed to run into the solution with stirring and gentle cooling, the mixture is heated to 90 to 95 ° C., and the mixture is stirred at this temperature until the reaction is complete and the hot solution is filtered to remove flaky deposits. The reaction product, which crystallizes out in colorless needles when the solution cools, is filtered off with suction, washed with cold water and dried in vacuo.

   It can be further purified by recrystallizing it from water.



  Ethylene bromohydrin can also be used in the same way.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Äthers des Thioammelins, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man Thioammelin in alkalischem Me dium mit Äthylenchlorhydrin behandelt. Der so erhaltene Thioammelinoxäthyl- äther ist ein farbloses kristallines Pulver vom Schmelzpunkt 185 bis<B>186'</B> C. Er soll als Zwischenprodukt zur Herstellung von Kunst harzen und Textilhilfsmitteln Verwendung finden.
