Device for harrowing and cultivating the soil simultaneously
plowing it.
The subject of the present invention is a device which can be adapted to all mechanical tractors, intended for harrowing and cultivating the soil, simultaneously with plowing the latter.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the invention.
Fig. 1 is an elevational view of the device comprising a seeder.
Fig. 2 is a top view of the device comprising a seeder.
Fig. 3 is an elevational view of the device comprising an apparatus for planting potatoes.
Fig. 4 is a top view of the device comprising the same device.
The device shown is constituted by a harrow with its members intended to loosen the ground and on which can be mounted either a seeder with its grain distribution members, coulters, etc. shown in fig. 1 and 2 or a potato planting device, with its tuber distribution organs, shown in fig. 3 and 4 of the accompanying drawing. This device fits on the right or left side of a mechanical tractor 1 schematically shown in the accompanying drawing.
The harrow comprises, for example, a series of discs 2, fixed to the lower ends of the arms 5, the upper ends of which are secured to a frame 6 forming the frame of the apparatus.
The frame 6 is provided at various appropriate points with plates 7, 8 and 9, pierced with holes in which the bars 10, 11 and 12 constituting the attachments of the harrow on the tractor 1 are placed, at the various points 13, 14 and 15.
The harrow described above must take a determined and controllable position on the ground; for this purpose, the points of attachment of the bars 1, 0, 11 and 12, at each of their ends are not rigid.
The central bar 11 can oscillate around its point of attachment 14 on the tractor 1 and its opposite end can be accommodated in the various holes made in the plate 8, thus modifying the position of the harrow relative to the tractor 1. It thereby The same applies to the bar 10 which determines, according to its point of attachment to the harrow, a certain angle thereof with respect to the tractor 1, thereby forming a certain working angle of the harrow with respect to the furrow. The bar 12, whose attachment point 15, formed by the outer end of the rear axle of the tractor 1 around which it can oscillate, gives the harrow complete freedom to lean constantly on the ground by its own weight and whatever the positions of tractor 1 in the furrow.
The seeder comprises a box 16, in which the grain to be sown is placed. It is mounted on a frame 17 resting on the arm 18, the opposite ends of which are fixed on the frame 6 of the harrow.
The frame 17 comprises vertical bars 21, the lower ends of which are provided with axes 20 around which the movable coulters 19 freely oscillate.
The body 16 receives in its lower part a grain distribution system actuated by a spiked wheel 22 resting freely by its own weight on the ground and the rotational movement of which is produced by the advancement of the tractor 1.
The shaft 23 of the wheel 22 is held freely at each of its ends on a frame formed by bars 24 whose opposite ends are freely retained at each of the ends of the distribution shaft 25 around which it can oscillate.
The distribution shaft 2 ^ 5 housed in the body 16 rotates at a determined speed and receives its movement from the wheel 22 by the intermediary of a transmission chain 26 unwinding, on the one hand, on the pinion 27 integral with the shaft 29 of the wheel 22 and, on the other hand, on the pinion 28 integral with the shaft 25.
The grain thus distributed flows through the telescope tubes 29 into the coulters 19.
At the rear of the seeder, relative to the direction of advance of the tractor 1, is placed a harrow consisting of a frame 30 supporting a series of teeth 31 and whose parallel arms 32 can oscillate around their fixing point constituted by the axis 20. This vertically movable assembly allows the teeth 31 to sink freely and by their own weight in the ground to be loosened.
The apparatus for planting potatoes (Figs. 3 and 4) comprises a box 36 for receiving the tubers to be planted, which has on its rear wall a distributor consisting of two trees, one 37 upper, the other. be 38 lower, on which are keyed drive nuts 39 and 40 on which an endless chain 41 runs.
This supports at various points a number of buckets 42 in which are housed, in the upward stroke of the chain 41, the tubers previously placed in the box 36; from there, the tubers fall by their own weight inside the tube 43 fixed vertically on the rear wall of the box 36. The tube 43 has at its lower end a share 44 which sinks sufficiently into the ground to plant the potato at a determined depth.
The endless chain 41 is actuated by a lower nut 40 keyed to a shaft 38 which receives its rotational movement from a wheel 45 resting freely on the ground by its own weight and whose grip is made sufficient by a series of crampons. 46 fixed on its rim.
To this end, the wheel 45 and its shaft 47 can rotate freely at the ends of two parallel bars 48, the opposite ends of which are held freely at the two opposite ends of the shaft 38; this receives its rotational movement from the wheel 45 via a transmission chain 49 driven, on the one hand, by the pinion 50 integral with the shaft 47, on the other hand, on the pinion 51 integral with tree 38.
This device, interchangeable at will with the seed drill described above, is fixed to the frame 6 of the harrow by arms 52 so that its assembly or disassembly is facilitated.
The device which is the subject of the present invention is, as described, fixed to the tractor 1, in a semi-rigid manner by the attachment bars 10, 11 and 12 to enable it to take on the field determined working positions. , so that when the two wheels 33 and 34 of the tractor 1 adjacent to the device are in the furrow, the device rests freely on the plowed ground and performs the work of loosening and cultivation. On the other hand, when the return of the tractor 1 the wheels 33 and 34 are on the guard (non-plowed land), the device is in a raised position and is, therefore, out of work.
The plow, coupled to the tractor 1 by the ring 315, is thus alone in work in one direction of travel of the tractor 1, while in the other direction of travel, ie on the return, the wheels 33 and 34 descend into the furrow. , bring the device back into contact with the plowed land and consequently allow the device to carry out its work of loosening and cultivation.
