Description
Gas generation system on tractors, for solid fuels such as wood, coal, peat etc. The subject matter of the present invention is a gas generation system on tractors.
In such gas generating systems, the arrangement of the gas generator on the tractor is of particular importance. Previously, the gas generator was located on the side of the tractor, so that not all accessories, such as pulleys, mowing devices, plows, winches, etc., could be attached or left on the tractor without impairing the function of these devices. The driver was also unable to check the track of the two front wheels while plowing (furrowers).
The invention consists in that the gas generator is installed at the front of the tractor, be it in front of the tractor cooler itself or directly in front of the engine. In the latter case, the tractor radiator is located in front of the gas generator.
In the drawing, an embodiment example of the subject invention is Darge, namely Fig. 1 and 2 show the system on a tractor in longitudinal section and in plan view, while Fig. 3 shows the main cleaner in detail. It is a Fordson tractor.
The gas generator is installed at the front of the tractor directly in front of the engine and is provided with a water jacket around the combustion zone, which communicates with the engine cooling device. The advantage of this construction is that the combustion hearth and the air supply nozzles A are water-cooled and therefore cannot burn out.
The gas developed in the gas generator is passed through lines B to the pre-cleaner C. This pre-cleaner is installed above the engine in place of the original petrol tank and has a small space D at the rear end for receiving liquid fuels. This pre-cleaner C is designed as a water seal, as can be seen from FIGS. 1 and 2.
From this pre-cleaner, the gas is fed into a main cleaner, which is located on the left-hand side of the tractor. According to FIG. 3, the main cleaner has a large water container in the lower part .E; Above, connected to the same and among each other by pipe stubs, cleaning vessels are attached. The cleaning vessels F below are designed as gas coolers. A gear pump G driven by the fan of the tractor sucks water out of the vessel 1 through a cooling coil exposed to the fan wind flow. This cooling water is pressed through a shower pipe H guided into the cleaning vessels F.
The gases that are passed through the gas inlet nozzle J from the precleaner into the lower water vessel E must flow through the water in the same and through the cleaning vessels F with showers and are cooled in this way. The gases are then cleaned and dried in the upper cleaning vessels K, which are filled with Raschig rings, pieces of cork or other filter material. They exit the main cleaner through the gas outlet G and are fed to the mixing chamber of the carburetor.
