Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung eines wasserlöslichen Nottenschützmittels. Gegenstand dieses Patentes ist ein Ver fahren zur Herstellung eines wasserlöslichen Mottenschutzmittels. Das Verfahren ist da durch gekennzeichnet, dass man 2,2'-Dioxy- 3,3',5,5',3",4"-hexachlortriphenylmethan mit Benzoesäure-m-sulfosäurehalogenid in Gegen wart eines säurebindenden Mittels, wie bei spielsweise wasserfreien Pyridins, umsetzt. Der gebildete neue Ester kann in Form seines Natriumsalzes ausgeschieden werden.
<I>Beispiel:</I> Man löst 46 Gewichtsteile Benzoesäure-m- sulfochlorid in 100 Gewichtsteilen wasser freiem Pyridin bei etwa 80 C und gibt nach und nach unter Rühren 48 Gewichtsteile hexachlortriphenyl - methan hinzu. Nach ein- bis zweistündigem Rühren ist die Reaktion beendet. Nach dem Verdünnen mit Wasser und Ansäuern kann der Ester bezw. sein Natriumsalz durch Aus salzen mit Kochsalz abgeschieden werden.
Behandelt man Wollgewebe z. B. mit 1 des so erhältlichen Esters (bezogen auf das Warengewicht) nach Art des Färbeprozesses unter Zusatz von Essigsäure und Schwefel säure eine Stunde bei Kochtemperatur, so erhält die Ware dadurch einen echten Mottenschutz.
Die gleiche Schutzwirkung wird erhalten, wenn man Mischgewebe, das aus Wolle und Viskose-Zellwolle besteht, mit 1 % (bezogen auf das Warengewicht) obiger Verbindung in neutraler Flotte eine Stunde bei<B>95'</B> C unter Zusatz von 10 % Glaubersalz behandelt.
