Zweitaktbrennkraftmaschine.
Two-stroke internal combustion engine. The invention relates to a two-stroke internal combustion engine with air purge, injection of fuel into the cylinder surface and external ignition, in which the fuel is injected into the combustion chamber in the form of a cone during the compression stroke.
Internal combustion engines of this type are known in which the spark plug lies laterally next to the injection nozzle, so that the fuel jet injected into the cylinder space against the piston is guided past the spark plug directly. In this case, it is difficult for an ignitable mixture to form at the point of the spark plug because the fuel jet is not sufficiently roughened in the surrounding fresh air. At this point, the fuel jet penetrates the surrounding air without being able to form a tip vortex that promotes evaporation and mixing to form a combustible mixture.
The invention consists in that the ignition takes place at a point on the wall of the fuel chamber that is swept by the edge vortex of the fuel cone. The water as a result of the friction at the edge vortices of the fuel cone surrounding the charge air is formed at a certain distance from the nozzle opening and represents a zone in which an ignitable mixture is created. If the ignition spark skips in this zone, a reliable ignition of the mixture is inevitably achieved. which initiates combustion in the tip vortex and from there spreads over the entire combustion chamber.
Since experience according to the position of the tip vortex in the combustion chamber respectively. the range of the fuel jet BEZW even when changing the speed. the load on the machine is hardly noticeably influenced, an extremely reliable ignition of the injected fuel can be achieved in the specified manner with simple means.
In the drawing, three exemplary embodiments of the invention are given again schematically, specifically the three figures each show a longitudinal section through the cylinder of a two-stroke internal combustion engine with air purging.
In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1, the injection nozzle 2 is inserted at the passage point from the cylinder head base 5 to the cylinder wall 7 'and the nozzle axis is inclined downwardly to the cylinder axis 7. The spark plug 4 is inserted at the distance e from the injection nozzle 2 in the bottom 5 of the cylinder head 3. The cylinder head 3 is set up in the usual manner on the cylinder 7, in which the working piston 8 moves up and down. The fuel is during the compression stroke, z. B. 50 after u.
T. injected in the form of a wide cone K is. which extends into the combustion chamber 10 and generates a tip vortex T1 'due to the air friction. The distance e of the spark plug 4 from the injection nozzle 2 is selected such that the edge vortex W sweeps past the electrodes of the spark plug.
In the edge vortex ITT, the fuel particles distributed on the lateral surface of the jet cone K are intimately mixed with the charge air and evaporated. The mixture thus formed. which surrounds the foot of the jet cone K in the form of a ring has a mixing ratio that, according to experience, lies within the ignition limits. If an ignition spark is skipped in this mixture, it is safely ignited and the combustion is initiated in rapid succession.
The position of the spark plug 4 in the cylinder head 3 can be determined indirectly from the position of the tip vortex W in the combustion chamber 10. This can easily be done empirically, e.g. B. with the help of spray patterns.
The spray patterns make it possible to get an idea of the position of the fuel jet K and its tip vortex W in the combustion chamber 10, so that it is easy to arrange the spark plug 4 at the point in the cylinder head 3 that is always surrounded by the tip vortex . Because the fuel is injected into the combustion chamber 10 from the transition point of the cylinder head base 5 to the cylinder wall 7 'at an angle to the cylinder axis Z, the edge vortex W of the spray cone K is given the opportunity to
to spread at such a point in the combustion chamber 10 that its full unimpeded development light made possible. The tip vortex W fills a substantial part of the combustion chamber 10 with its easily ignitable mixture, so that after the tip vortex T3 'has ignited, the rest of the combustion chamber 10 is also located. the less flammable mixture is reliably ignited and burned.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 2, the base 5 of the cylinder head 3 is provided with a recess 9 at the point swept by the edge vortex W, into which the electrodes of the spark plug 4 protrude. This Ver recess 9 catches part of the tip vortex W, so that the ignitable mixture will inevitably lead past the electrodes. As a result, the ignition of the tip vortex R 'is ensured to a greater extent and an even better spread of the tip vortex in the combustion chamber is made possible.
In the embodiment of FIG. 3, the injection nozzle 2 is inserted into the tip of a conical channel 3 'of the cylinder head 3, which expands to the cylinder chamber and whose axis is oblique to the Zylin derachse 7th. At the transition of the conical surface of the channel 3 'into the base 5 of the cylinder head 3, a sharp transition edge k is created.
The spark plug 4 is inserted in the vicinity of this transition edge k in the base 5 of the cylinder head 3. The channel 3 'has such a length L. that the fuel injected in a wide jet cone K during the compression stroke and almost completely filling the channel 3 'immediately adjacent to the transition edge k in the combustion chamber 10 generates a ring-shaped peripheral vortex W.
The cause of this phenomenon lies in the sudden change in the Q, cross section at the mouth of the canal 3 ', which creates a suction that pulls the edge vortex back from W to W and holds it there, as indicated by arrows p.
Through the channel 3 ', the dimensions of which can easily be determined with the help of spray patterns, and through the sharp transition edge k ge it is possible to force the tip vortex W to spread immediately after the transition edge k in the combustion chamber 10 and therefore to a certain extent against the Zylin derkopf 3 support. As a result, the cohesion of the tip vortex W is promoted exceptionally, so that the ignition suddenly occurs over its entire area.
