Koutrolleinrichtnng an Oldruckleitungen.
Koutrollinrichtnng on oil pressure lines.
The invention relates to a control device on oil pressure lines, in which a housing with a resiliently influenced oil passage piston is switched into each line to be observed, which is controlled in the axial direction between the opposite line ends by the oil pressure, in such a way that the piston at faults occurring in the line branches are either pressed against one or the other end and at the same time a contact closes, by means of which the fault is indicated by a signal at a collection point.
In many areas of technology, for example in engine systems in motor vehicles, aircraft and airship construction, as well as in stationary systems or on ships, etc., it is of great importance for the safety of passengers and operating personnel that everyone is under pressure Steady oil lines, which often lead in large numbers to the bearings, cylinders, controls, etc., can be continuously monitored for the proper oil flow, for example to prevent the bearings from overheating and its consequences.
Just as important is not only the immediate detection of inadmissible heating of an Ilaschin part, but also the rapid indication of a leak in a supply line in order to be able to remedy the failure of a motor or the insufficient fuel supply as quickly as possible.
The old pressure indicators used up to now (in diesel engines etc.), which, incidentally, were mostly only provided in main lines, have the disadvantage that with the often large number of oil lines, constant observation of the same number of indicators is tiring or confusing.
Because of its simple design, the control device according to the invention can be used for every line that is to be placed under observation. By means of them, every malfunction is displayed to the operator in a conspicuous manner, so that he is not forced to read any indicators from time to time.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of such a control device, namely in Fig. 1 and 2 the part connected to the line in longitudinal section in two different positions (with a fault-free and faulty line) and in Fig. 3 the branch and in Fig. 4 the display point. Fig. 5 shows a variant of Fig. 4.
The control device has a sleeve-like housing a made of a highly conductive material (brass, etc.), at the two ends of which the ends b and b1 of an oil pressure line are inserted in a sealed and insulated manner. In this example, this mounting is achieved in that a collar b2 is rigidly arranged on each line end and is mounted between two insulating washers c, which are slightly larger in diameter than the collar b2.
I) The cable ends are pressed against a stop washer e by an external nut d each and are thus sealed and at the same time isolated from the housing a.
The ends of the line branches b, bl protrude somewhat into the free interior space of the housing, in which the piston f can slide back and forth in an easily displaceable manner. This has several holes ft for the unhindered flow of the oil flow, which are expediently arranged on the flange (Fig. La), so that the protruding line openings are opposed to full faces of the piston.
The piston f is influenced by a spring g, the preload of which is slightly lower than the oil pressure exerted on the piston, and the spring g is located opposite the supply branch b (Fig. 1).
The housing a can be installed at any point in the oil line, advantageously in the immediate vicinity of the point of use (bearing, injection nozzle, etc.).
All of the lines, for example lines 1 to 6, come from a branch point (Fig. 3) at which there is a collection container h that is connected to the pressure pump k: the branches from the main line / or from the container Line for the main manometer I.
In addition, each housing a is connected by a cable to a display device which has an optical or acoustic signal for each line. In this example, as shown in Fig. 4 lamps signals are provided, and each line respectively. each housing belonging to this had its own lamp o, which lights up a number assigned to the line in the event of a fault. The lamps o are arranged in a box facing each other, and from this a cable branches off to the battery n, from which a further cable goes to the ground, to which the line branches b, bl are also connected.
The control device works as follows:
Assuming that the oil line 3 is out of operation, that is, it is not under pressure, the piston f is pressed by the spring g onto the opening of the line branch b and closes this or, depending on the position of the housing, falls onto it under its own weight.
This establishes contact by means of the piston and the lamp behind the number 3 lights up, i.e. a sign that the oil pump is not yet in operation. If this is switched on, the 01flux pushes the piston; from branch b, the circuit is interrupted and the lamp behind the number 3 or all lamps go out.
The oil does not flow through the openings fl of the IEC piston in the line branch 6 to the consumer point, and as long as the line 3 remains free from interference, the bulb / none of the line ends touches, but is on the one hand by the oil pressure and on the other hand by the correspondingly matched counter pressure of the spring g held approximately in the middle of the housing a, in every position of the same.
Now occurs in the supply or discharge branch b respectively. bl a disruption of the oil flow, for example a break in the supply line branch b, the pressure in the same drops, and the result is that the piston f is pressed by the spring g onto the outlet opening of the line b. This re-establishes contact and puts the lamp behind the
Number 3 indicates the fault. The same thing occurs when the line branch bt breaks, because then, due to the pressure reduction in this branch, the piston is pressed by the unattenuated oil pressure onto the outflow opening from branch bl. This position is shown in Fig. 2, the spring g being omitted for the sake of clarity.
As can be seen from Fig. 1 and 2, the end of the line branch bl has a small extension b3, which has the purpose of enabling contact with the piston f, but to prevent the closing of the line branch b1 so that the in the position according to Fig 2 remains in this position until the fault has been rectified. If clogging occurs in the line branch b or b ', the 01 stops flowing and the contact is closed by means of the spring g.
Regardless of the cause of the disruption of the oil flow in the line, the piston f causes a contact closure with either the inlet or outlet branch and thus the lighting of the signal lamp in the housing wu.
It is also possible to combine the signaling device with the common oil pressure gauge or this with the branch tank h ,, or all of these individual parts to form a single unit.
Fig. 5 shows the combination of the signal lamps o with the oil pressure manometer 1, which again shows the pressure in the main line kl. The lamps are built into the housing of the manometer.
