Electromagnetic switching device in electrical systems on vehicles. The invention relates to an elec tromagnetic switching device in electrical systems on vehicles according to the main patent no. 209448, in which an auxiliary magnet also acts on the armature and relates to a further embodiment of the switching device with regard to the arrangement of the auxiliary magnet.
According to the invention, the pole core of the auxiliary magnet is arranged with its winding on the upper end of a leg of the magnet frame on its inside between the latter and the arm of the armature associated with the auxiliary magnet. As a result, a particularly useful arrangement of the auxiliary magnet on the electromagnetic switching device is made, which in addition to the advantages of the subject of the main patent also the advantage 3. ' it has a particularly useful construction. The attachment of the auxiliary magnet is simplified compared to the example described in the main patent.
In the drawing, a ver united regulator switch is shown as an embodiment of the subject invention in an electrical system on motor vehicles.
On a magnet bracket 1, a magnet core 2 is attached, which carries a voltage coil 3 and a current coil 4. A regulator armature 8, which actuates the regulator contacts 9, 10, is suspended from the leg 5 of the magnetic bracket 1 by means of an armature support 6 and an armature spring 7. A switch armature 11 is seated on an armature spring 12 which is held by an armature support 14 fastened on the leg 13 of the magnetic bracket 1. The scarf teranker actuates switch contacts 15, 16. Regulator armature 8 and switch armature 11 are in the form of an elbow.
On the inside of the magnet leg 13, a pole core 17 of an auxiliary magnet, which carries a winding 18, is fixed between this and the one leg of the armature 11. The voltage of an alternator with an armature 19 and an excitation winding 20 is regulated by the electromagnetic Re gler in a known manner, for example, in that a resistor 21 is connected respectively in series with the excitation winding 20 by means of the contacts 9, 10. is shorted.
By closing the switch contacts 15, 16, a battery 22 and, if applicable, power consumers 23 are connected to the light machine.
The current coils 4 and 18 have a magnetizing effect in the same chemical sense. As soon as the alternator emits enough voltage, the switch armature 11 is attracted as a result of excitation by the voltage coil 3 and closes the contacts 15, 16. The current from the alternator now flows through the current coils 4 and 18 to the battery 22 and the consumers 23. The attracted scarf anchor 11 rests against the pole core 17 in such a way that only a small air gap remains between the leg of the anchor and the core 17. The high magnetic performance of the auxiliary magnet is achieved with a winding of relatively few turns. The switch armature 11 is strongly held by the auxiliary magnet. It is less sensitive to the vibrations that occur during driving and keeps the contacts 15, 16 securely closed.
The pole core 17 of the auxiliary magnet creates an additional attraction and adhesive surface for the switch armature 11 in addition to that of the main pole core. As a result, the controller and switch become more independent of one another despite the assembly. The regulator armature 8 can, influenced only by the voltage and current coils 3 and 4 adapted to the regulating process, swing according to the requirements of the regulation, while the switch armature 11 is firmly held by the additional attraction surface of the pole core 17 and the switch contacts 15, 16 keeps securely closed.
If the alternator voltage drops below that of the battery 22, even a small reverse current in the winding 18 causes the armature 11 to detach from the pole core 17, so that the switch contacts 15, 16 are opened.
The auxiliary magnet also eliminates the need for the bimetallic device otherwise provided for preventing damage to the contact device in the event of short circuits in the consumer system.
By installing the auxiliary magnet, the tried and tested compact structure of the unified controller switch is not taken adversely. On the other hand, the auxiliary magnet allows the electromagnetic device to be provided in a simple manner with an additional winding mounted in the magnetic circle outside the main pole core. Previous proposals to push such a winding onto the leg of the magnetic bow or onto the armature could not be implemented in a simple manner in practice.
Compared to the arrangement of the auxiliary magnet in the example described in the main patent, the arrangement according to the illustrated embodiment of the invention is a particularly advantageous and simple construction. For the pole core of the auxiliary magnet, no special mounting angle is required. Rather, the pole core is attached directly to the magnet leg, the fastening device, such as a screw or rivet, can also hold the armature carrier at the same time.
The auxiliary magnet can also be used in regulator switches in which the regulator has only one voltage coil, so in which the current coil 4 of the example shown is omitted.
The magnetic legs 5 and 13 are not, as before in such devices, pulled up to the level of the horizontal legs of the anchor, but are shortened. This measure has an advantageous effect on the magnetic flux, and the scatter is also reduced.
