Description

Process for the preparation of a halogen-substituted acylaminosulfonic acid. The subject of the present Zueatz patent is a process for the production of a halogen-substituted acylaminosulfonic acid, characterized in that 3'-aminobenzoyl-3,4 -diohlorauiliu-6-sulfonic acid is reacted with p-chlorophenylacetic acid chloride.

The new compound, the 3 '- (4 "-chlorophenylacetylamino) -benzoyl-3,4-dichloroaniline-6-sudfons @ acid, is a brittle, brownish mass which is suitable for use as a moth repellent.

<I> Example: </I> 18 parts of 3'-aminobenzoyl-3, 4-, diohloraniline-6-sulfonic acid are dissolved in 100 parts by volume of dry pyridine and mixed with 10 parts of p-chlorophenyless- with stirring and cooling with ice water igsäurechlorid added in small portions. The mixture is then stirred for 5 hours at normal temperature, then heated to <B> 50-60 '</B> for a further hour, mixed with some 8oda solution and steam distilled until no more pyridine passes over.

The acyl compound is separated from the residue with salt solution as resin, the aqueous solution is poured off and the resin is dried in vacuo, whereby it is obtained as a brittle, brownish mass.
