Circular level with illuminated bubble.
The invention relates to a circular level with an illuminated bubble and consists in there. the bubble is illuminated by at least two parallel light bundles which form the same angle with the vial axis and whose projections onto a plane perpendicular to the vial axis divide this plane into equal angular ranges, and dFaB the light point images around the center of the bubble created by reflection on the bubble around to estimate the bubble position.
It is advantageous to provide only means for illuminating the bubble so that the bubble receives light from two points, so that all light rays are parallel to a plane containing the axis of the dragonfly and there. The bundles of rays emanating from the two points lie symmetrically with respect to a plane which contains the axis of the dragonfly and which is perpendicular to the first-mentioned plane.
Appropriate embodiments of a circular level formed in this way are obtained when the bubble of the level is illuminated through the side wall of the cover glass of the level. Either two light sources arranged to the side of the cover glass can be used, each of which is assigned a lens in such a way that the light entering the cover glass through this lens is parallel-beamed.
But you can also get by with a single light source arranged to the side of the cover slip, the light of which is made parallel beam by a lens before entering the cover slip, if the side wall of the cover slip at the point opposite the lens has a flat surface provided with a reflective coating contains in order to reflect the incident part of that collimated light.
Other expedient embodiments of a circular level formed in this way are obtained when the level is filled with a dark liquid and the bubble is illuminated through the face of the cover glass.
In the drawing, there are three for example
Embodiments of the circular level according to the invention are shown. In the first in the respectively by Figs. 1 and 2. Fig. 3 and 4 each in a longitudinal section through the axis of the dragonfly and a perpendicular cross-section to this axis illustrated imple- mentation forms, the dragonfly bubble is illuminated through the side wall of the cover glass, while the third, through Fi, -. 5 illustrated embodiment, the bladder is illuminated through the end face of the cover glass.
In Fig. 1 and 2, the circular vial has a frame a made of a ceramic material, on whose upper end face a @ a glaze is burned in, so that a readily polishable surface is obtained. and a copper layer is burnt on the lower end surface a2. A cover glass b is blasted onto the surface a3, while a bottom c, formed as a metal membrane, is soldered to the surface a2. The interior of the dragonfly formed by the frame a, the cover glass b and the bottom c is filled with a liquid d to such an extent that only the small air bubble e remains. I) These parts are stored in a housing f.
In this housing, a bolt g is rotatably mounted about the axis X-X of the vial, which by means of a threaded piece g1 engages in a nut piece c 'of the base c. The bolt g can be turned by means of a drive knob g2. Rotations of the bolt g result in a movement of the bottom c, and thus an influence on the size of the bubble e.
In order to illuminate the bubble e through the side wall of the cover glass b in such a way that the bubble receives parallel beam light from two opposite points, a plano-convex lens la is cemented to the side wall, the axis of which is the axis XX of the dragonfly cuts perpendicularly.
At the point opposite the lens h, the side wall of the cover glass b is flat. Surface b1, which is mirrored. The light emitted by an incandescent lamp i is fed to the lens It through an opening f1 of the housing f in such a way that the parallel light rays emerging from the lens form an angle a with a plane perpendicular to the axis se. The rays reflected on the mirrored surface form the same angle with this plane.
The circular level according to FIGS. 3 and 4 differs from the one described above only in that the surface b1 is not mirrored. but that the lens la is diametrically opposite a lens h'auf kjttet. whose axis coincides with that of the lens li and which corresponds to the lens 7 senau. The lens h1 is supplied with light from a second incandescent lamp @ through the opening f2 of the housing f, which makes the lens h1 parallel.
The circular level according to FIG. 5 only has the change compared to that according to FIGS. 3 and 4, that the two lighting devices i, h and i1 h1, each consisting of an incandescent lamp i and / or i. i1 and from a lens h respectively. h1 exist, which makes the light emitted by the incandescent lamp parallel rays, are arranged so that the two light bundles enter the vial through the end face b2 of the cover glass b. The dragonfly liquid d consists of diluted black zapon varnish.
In all three embodiments, the bubble of the circular vial is illuminated by two parallel beams of light that enclose the same angle with the vial axis and whose projections on a plane perpendicular to the vial axis divide this plane into equal angular ranges of 180 each.
However, there could also be more than two light bundles. In the case of the dragonflies shown, the light point images created by reflection on the bubble, namely at the interface between bubble and liquid, remain practically evenly distributed around the center of the bubble, even if the bubble occupies a different position, so that e Bubble position can be accurately estimated based on the position of the light point images.
