Gegenstand. des vorliegenden Patentes ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines sauren, violetten Triphenylmethanfarbstoffes. Das Verfahren ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man den Farbstoff folgender Konstitution

Der neue Farbstoff färbt Wolle und Seide in blaustichig violetten Tönen mit der Lichtechtheit 4-5. e <I>Beispiel:</I> <B><I>6</I> g</B> des Farbstoffes folgender Konstitution:
