KabeIwickler.
Cable winder. The present invention relates to a cable winder of the type in which a cable with both strands is wound in the same direction in a rotatable roller in two axially adjacent grooves, so that when one strand of the cable is unwound by pulling out its end, the other strand is wound with it unwound from the inside to compensate for the fixed end. The previous devices of this type have the disadvantage that the part of the cable that is pulled out is referred to as the pull cable below,
due to high stress on bending and tension, especially at the inner end, it quickly becomes defective, causing a short circuit. The other strand of the cable, which winds itself from a small diameter according to the number of turns of the pull cable to a larger diameter, is referred to below as compensating cable. Through the centrifugal mass of the roller, that is, its moment of inertia; When the pull cable is rewound as a result of relaxation of the spring, it is compressed and causes it to break.
The present invention aims to avoid the inconvenience of the cable becoming defective and the breaking of the spring as possible. It consists in the cable transition from the pulling cable groove to the equalizing cable groove in a semicircular groove, in which the cable is clamped so that the cable runs approximately tangentially on both grooves, and by limiting the rotational movement of the roller in the Direction of rotation of the cable prevents the complete unwinding of the cable,
and in the other direction of rotation the momentum of the roller, which arises when the pull cable is rewound by releasing the spring, is absorbed by the limitation.
In the accompanying drawing, an example embodiment of the subject of the invention is illustrated; It shows: Fig. 1 is a section through the cable winder, Fig. 2 is a plan view of the same, Fig. 3 is a previous cable guide, Fig. 4 is a cable position of the previous arrangement, Fig. 5 is a cable position of the new implementation, Fig. 6 the rotation limiting device. The box 1, which can be designed as a lamp base, under set for iron, telephone or the like,
contains a cable winder. The same consists of a roller which is formed from the body 2, the disks 3 and 4 and the intermediate piece 5 and is rotatably mounted on bolts 6. Bol zen 6 is firmly screwed to the box 1 by nut 7. The spring 8 is attached with its outer end to the rotatable and lockable cover 9, the other end of the spring 8 is firmly connected to the fixed bolt 6 ver. By pulling on the pulling cable 10, the drum rotates, the compensating cable 11, the outer end of which is fixed, wraps itself to a larger diameter and takes up the outer space of the groove in question. The pull cable 10 and the compensating cable 11 are formed from one piece.
The transition from the pull cable groove to the compensation cable groove leads in previous winders, as can be seen in FIGS. 3 and 4, via a radially arranged groove 12, which in particular requires sharp bends in the cable when it is completely unwound. In the embodiment according to the invention, the transition is formed by a semicircular groove 13 (FIG. 5), as a result of which the cable runs are guided almost tangentially to the associated winding roller.
One of the main evils of the previous version is that the rotation of the roller is not limited either in one or in the other direction of rotation. The pull cable can be pulled out there so far that it is directly. protrudes radially from the drum (Fig. 4), whereby a bending of the cable by <B> 90 '</B> is caused. As a result of the pull, this bending point of the cable, which has already been moved, is stressed even more, as a result of which defects arise, which cause short circuits. But also in the other direction of rotation, the lack of a limitation shows a defect.
When the pull cable becomes free so that it is wound up by the spring action, the roller rotates more or less rapidly, and its rotating flywheel creates a moment of inertia that must be absorbed by the spring, with compression of the same. This is stressed in the opposite direction, causing the spring to break after a short time. This inconvenience is remedied in the example of the subject matter of the invention in that a spiral thread 14 is screwed into part 2 of the roller, into which a pin 15, which is attached to a steerable lever 16, engages. According to the development length of the pull cable, a limitation 17 is expediently used in rubber in the thread.
The limitation in the direction of pulling the cable is chosen so that the cable cannot be fully unwound (Fig. 5), so that it is prevented from bending up, so that the pull always remains tangential to the roll. In the opposite direction, the delimitation 17 'is arranged in such a way that the spring cannot relax completely, so that compression of the same is avoided.
