Description

  

  Verfahren zur Herstellung einer neuen,     stickstoffhaltigen    organischen Verbindung.    Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Ver  fahren zur Herstellung einer neuen, stickstoff  haltigen organischen Verbindung, geeignet,  um     zelluloseartigen    Textilmaterialien Affini  tät für     Säurewollfarbstoffe    zu erteilen.  



       Gremäss    der Erfindung wird     P-Ureidoäthyl-          trimethylammoniumchlorid    der Formel       NH2-C0-NH-CH2-CH,-N(CHs)s-CI     durch das Verbinden von     P-Chloroäthylharn-          stoff    mit     Trimethylamin    hergestellt.  



  Der     ss-Chloroäthylharnstoff    wird zweck  mässigerweise in Form eines Salzes, zum Bei  spiel des Hydrochlorids, zugesetzt.  



  Wenn erwünscht, kann die Reaktion in  Gegenwart eines     Lösungs-    oder Verdünnungs  mittels, z. B. Alkohol, durchgeführt werden.  <I>Beispiel:</I>  Eine Lösung von 150 Teilen     ss-Chloro-          äthylharnstoff    in 250 Teilen Äthanol wird  mit einer Lösung von 150 Teilen     Trimethyl-          amin    in 300 Teilen Äthanol vermischt und  das Gemisch unter     Rückflusskühlung    während  drei Stunden gekocht. Hierauf wird es ab  gekühlt, wobei weisse Kristalle ausgefällt wer  den. Diese werden     abfiltriert    und getrocknet.  Auf diese Weise wird die neue Verbindung,         P-Ureidoäthyltrimethylammoniumchlorid,    er  halten.

   Es ist ein leicht hygroskopischer,  weisser, kristalliner, fester Körper mit einem  Schmelzpunkt bei 1840 C. Er ist leicht in  Wasser löslich, lösbar in heissem Alkohol und  unlöslich in Äther, Azeton und Benzol.

   It is a slightly hygroscopic, white, crystalline, solid body with a melting point of 1840 C. It is easily soluble in water, soluble in hot alcohol and insoluble in ether, acetone and benzene.

PATENTANSPRUCH Verfahren zur Herstellung einer neuen, stickstoffhaltigen organischen Verbindung, geeignet, um zelluloseartigen Textilmaterialien Affinität für Säurewollfarbstoffe zu erteilen, nämlich ,Q-Ureidoäthyltrimetbylammonium- chlorid der Formel NH2-CO-NH-CH.-CH2-N(CHa)a-Cl, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass ss-Chloroäthyl- harnstoff mit Trimethylamin in Verbindung gebracht wird. Die neue Verbindung ist ein weisser, kristalliner, leicht hygroskopiseber, fester Körper 'mit einem Schmelzpunkt bei 1841 C.
