Description

Process for the production of rayon, ribbon etc. It has been found that artificial structures such as rayon, ribbon etc. can be obtained from cellulose solutions if, for example, the thread exiting from the spinning bath is placed between the spinning bath and the receiving organ (bobbin, reel, centri joint, etc.) with additional stretching of the thread through a water bath of any temperature.

As a result of this post-treatment of the spun rayon thread during the spinning process, wet and dry strengths are obtained that are well above the otherwise normal values. The procedure is explained in more detail using the following example.

A normal viscose with a cellulose content of 7.5% and an alkali content of 6.5% with an average ripeness of 10.6 according to Hottenroth a denier of 120, a nozzle with 60 holes and a draw of 70 m in the 1VI- minute in a normal spinning bath for viscose silk, for example with a content of 150 g sulfuric acid per liter and a Ge content of sodium sulfate, that the density at 20 is 1.260, spun.

After leaving the spinning bath, the thread is passed between the spinning bath and the receiving organ through a water bath at a temperature of 45 C, the thread being passed over comb-like arranged glass rods with the aid of known devices, such as between two rollers rotating at different speeds etc. is stretched.

The artificial silk produced according to this example has a strength value that is both wet and dry much higher than that of comparison silk, which are otherwise produced under the same conditions, but without the thread after leaving the spinning bath with stretching To conduct a water bath of any temperature.
