<B>Zusatzpatent</B> zum Hauptpatent Nr. 198954. Badekappe. Im Hauptpatent ist eine Badekappe be schrieben mit einer elastisch gegen den Kopf anliegt Aden Kante und einem innern end losen Wasserdichtungsflanach, der in Form eines Ringes ausgebildet ist.
Der umlaufende Ring bildet einen Flansch, dei sich gegen das Kappeninnere zu erstreckt und mit der Kappe aus einem Stück besteht. In dieser Weise ist es möglich in der Ge brauchslage der Kappe eine doppelte Ab dichtung zu schaffen, wobei die erste Ab dichtung durch die den Kopf dicht um schliessende gante der Kappe und die zweite innerhalb der Kappe gebildet wird, und zwar dort, wo der aus seiner normalen Lage auf gebogene Flansch sich dicht gegen den Kopf anlegt.
Gemäss vorliegender Erfindung wird die Badekappe nach dem Hauptpatent mit einer Dichtungsrippe versehen, die sich beidersei tig von einer Stelle hinter den Ohren und unter denselben nach der Stirnseite der Kappe hin erstreckt und an der Stirnseite der Kappe in die Aussenkante derselben übergeht. Ein Ausführungsbeispiel des Erfindungs gegenstandes ist auf der Zeichnung veran schaulicht.
Fig. 1 ist ein Schnitt durch die Kappe von vorn nach hinten; Fig. 2 ist eine Vorderansicht eines Teils der Kappe (rechtwinklig zu Fig. 1), teilweise im Schnitt, in der Gebrauchslage; Fig. 3 ist eine Unteransicht der Kappe; Fig.4 ist ein Schnitt nach der Linie IV-IV der Fig. 1 und zeigt die zusätzliche Rippe.
Der Körperteil 1 der Kappe kann in irgend einer geeigneten Weise ausgebildet sein, die gante 2 muss jedoch elastisch sein und den Kopf umschliessen. Der innere Flansch 3 bildet ein endloses Band oder einen Ring, der in kleiner Entfernung von der Kante 2 angebracht ist und rings der Kappe umläuft. Der Flansch ragt ausser Gebrauchslage nach innen, und zwar so, dass der Flansch mit der Mappenwandung 1 an der Verbindungs stelle einen rechten Winkel bildet, er kann jedoch auch unter einem andern Winkel an- geordnet sein. Beim Aufschieben der Kappe auf den Kopf wird der Flansch in der auf Fig. 2 ersichtlichen Weise ringsherum nach oben gebogen.
Infolge der beschriebenen An- ordnun' hat die freie Kante 4 des Flansches 3 eine kleinere Länge als die Ansclrlusslinie 5, auch ist die Länge der freien Kante klei ner als die Länge der Kappenkante z. Beim Aufschieben der Kappe auf den Kopf wird daher sowohl bei der Kante 4 des aufgebo genen Flansches 3, wie auch bei der Kap penkante 2 eine wirkungsvolle Wasserabdich tung geschaffen, ferner wird zwischen den Kanten 2 und 4 eine ringförmige Luftkam mer gebildet. Die Kappe ist ferner mit einem nach unten ragenden Teil 6 zum Verdecken der Ohren versehen.
Eine weitere Dichtungsrippe 7 ist vor gesehen, die beiderseitig von einer Stelle 8 hinter den Ohren ausgehend sich unter den Ohren nach der Stirnseite der Kappe lun erstreckt und an der Stirnseite bei 9 in die Aussenkante 2 übergebt.
Die erfindungsgemässe Badekappe wird vorzugsweise aus Gummi hergestellt, es kön nen jedoch auch andere geeignete Stoffe zu diesem Zwecke verwendet werden.

The body part 1 of the cap can be designed in any suitable manner, but the gante 2 must be elastic and enclose the head. The inner flange 3 forms an endless band or a ring which is attached at a small distance from the edge 2 and runs around the cap. The flange protrudes inward out of the position of use, specifically so that the flange forms a right angle with the folder wall 1 at the connection point, but it can also be arranged at a different angle.
