Gripper device for cinematographic apparatus with switching gripper and locking gripper. The invention relates to a Grei- fereinrncUtung for cinematographic apparatus, with switch gripper and: locking gripper.
In such devices, it is known to control the locking gripper from a special cam, in order to bring it out of engagement with the film perforation only as long as the movement of the film requires it. Such devices are relatively complicated and expensive to manufacture because of the need for the special curves for the control, the locking claw.
In another known device, a locking gripper is driven directly by the switching gripper, the tip of which snaps through a film perforation hole during the switching stroke and pushes the locking gripper located on the other side of the film out of its engaged position.
A serious disadvantage of this training is that the relatively thin tooth of the holding gripper has to generate the force to lift the locking gripper and because it releases the locking gripper for the entire duration of the film advancement movement .nggleitet, a. is subject to rapid wear.
Another known device uses ver to control the: locking gripper .den to a two-armed lever handlebar, which serves as a guide for the shift gripper.
The locking gripper is with the upper one, the switching gripper against it. hinged to the lower end of this lever. This device, which uses a crank with a push rod and a further link controlled by a complicated cam groove to drive the grippers, is very difficult to manufacture.
Furthermore, it has the disadvantage that the movements of the switch gripper during which it is approached or removed from the film, but without intervening in the perforation. transferred to the locking gripper.
this executes a sawing movement ring in the perforation hole and can therefore damage the perforation as a result of the constant acting on the film from the take-up reel.
In another known device, a. The locking gripper is controlled directly by the switching gripper via a approach attached to it. When the switch @ rifle is approached, a continuation applied to it meets with the mentioned approach of the .locking claw,
to dig it out of the perforation. Falling back into the next perforation hole takes place at the end of the film step under the influence of a spring.
According to the invention, all of the disadvantages of the known cripper devices are avoided by an intermediate (, il-member for @mwegungsühertracung the switch gripper on the locking gripper, over (read the switching gripper in Run a
Sc @ al @ vor- ga.n_es from the beginning of its switching stroke causing the film to be continued by one frame step onwards only during part of this switching stroke acts on the locking gripper.
The intermediate link can be designed as a civilian lever. which can be swiveled by a fixed axis of rotation and which during part of each work cycle transfers the drive movement from the switching gripper to the locking gripper. ['A form as simple as possible <RTI in the shift gripper

At one end, the sliding surface has a bevel 1.3a which, after pressing down: the lower end of the lever 11: the sen allows gradual sliding back into the rest position.
The mode of operation of the device is as follows: In the course of one revolution of the crank 2, as already mentioned above, describes the lower edge of the gripper tip under the influence of the curved guide 4: the curve marked 7. At the same time, the point of contact between the lateral bend 5 and the two-armed lever 11 on the curve 15 can be seen.
So if the crank 2 starts to rotate from the position shown in FIG. 1 in the direction of the arrow 1-6, the @SchaltgTeifer moves into .die perforation; at the same time, the lower end of the lever 11 is moved to the film 17 by the lateral bend 5 of the switch gripper 1.
The bend l 1ä of the lever 11, which engages in an approach of the 'locking gripper 8, lifts the locking gripper 8 out of the film perforation. The locking gripper is only lifted out at the moment, while: the switching gripper enters the perforation. The switching stroke of the: switching gripper begins immediately afterwards.
If, in the further course of the rotation of the crank 2, the gear lever moves downwards, whereby: the film is advanced by one image step, the bend 5 initially slides on the sliding surface part 13; of the lever 11, until it comes to: the bevel of the sliding surface 13a along which it comes;
slides, the latter the lever 11, as well as the locking claw 8 under the action of the spring 9 there, s falling back ge conditions allowed the locking position. After about half the switching stroke of the @SchaltgTeifers 1, the bent part 5: of the, switchgear 1, leaves the @ inclined surface 13ca:
of the pontic and thus the pontic. From: this point in time, the; switching gripper no longer acts on: the locking gripper 8. The, S: switching stroke is the part of the switch gripper movement that causes the film to be switched by one frame step.
The ': blocking gripper is now on the film. As soon as the next perforation hole comes into: the area of the tip of the locking gripper 8, it falls in to clearly limit the film movement.
While the switching gripper moves back into the position required for a new holding process - while the points just mentioned are the curved parts of curve 7 and 1-5 up to -the in Fi, g. 1; describe the position shown - there is no drive connection between the shift gripper 1 and the locking gripper 8, so that:
the secure entry position of the locking gripper cannot be disturbed in any way during the illumination.
This is important because with: the high: degree - the usual enlargement of narrow films, which: through: the: recent improvements: the resolution of the reversal emulsion and the recording optics was possible: the .low - most changes in position:
of the film would have to lead to visible insubordination. The part 1.3 of the sliding surface is in the: illustrated position of the lever 11 parallel to the Filmfüh tion.
In the lower part of the drawing, the movements of the individual parts are shown together with those of the device lock still in context. While .die crank 2 moves the sheet A-B back, the switch gripper enters the film perforation.
During the first part of this movement, namely when laying back: the sheet C-D, the locking gripper 8 is lifted out of: the perforation. The film is transported while the crank 2 is moved from: Position B to i position E.
During the movement between: the positions D and F, the locking gripper is held by.: The switch, old gripper in the raised: position. It can slide back between the positions F and G against: the locked position. In G sits the: locking claw tip, which is now relieved of the action: of the switching claw 1, on: the film until it is back in:
the perforation collapses. During the crank rotation from E to H, the switch gripper leaves the perforation in order to return to the position shown in the course of the rotation from H to A. The movements of the shutter, for example designed as a slide, are as follows:
While the crank 2 passes through the position 7, the shutter begins to close in order to remain completely closed from the positions Z> '- L. Between the positions L and 31 he follows the opening of the shutter.
