<I>Beispiel 1:</I> Auf 5 Teile Kupferphthalocyanin lässt man in einem Druckgefäss bei 100 C 17 Teile Chlor 12 Stunden lang einwirken.
Process for the preparation of a dye of the phthaloeyanine series. It has been found that a valuable green dye containing about 14 atoms of chlorine in the molecule is obtained when copper phthalocyanine is treated with agents having a chlorinating effect.
The reaction is carried out at an elevated temperature, e.g. B. between 50 and <B> 260 '</B> C, preferably between 140 and 220' C, and expediently under increased pressure.
The rate of halogenation is greater, the higher the temperature and / or pressure used. When chlorinating with free chlorine, for example, pressures of 10 to 100 atm are achieved. very good results, but the pressure can also rise above this range without disadvantage.
It is advantageous to add metals, metalloids or compounds to the reaction mixture which act as halogen carriers. For example, iodine, iron, copper, aluminum, zinc, or salts, e.g. B. halides of iron, zinc, aluminum, nickel, cobalt, manganese and copper, and sulfides such as antimony trisulfide. <I> Example 1 </I> 17 parts of chlorine are allowed to act on 5 parts of copper phthalocyanine in a pressure vessel at 100 ° C. for 12 hours.
The hydrogen chloride formed is then allowed to escape and the crude dye, which is obtained in the form of a green powder, is purified by treatment with dilute hydrochloric acid, dilute sodium carbonate solution and methanol. The dye, which contains chlorine and copper, is green and contains around 14 atoms of chlorine in the molecule. , Example <I> 2: </I> A mixture of 500 parts of copper phthalocyanine, 10 parts of antimony trichloride and 1700 parts of chlorine is heated to <B> 100 </B> C under pressure for two hours. The crude dye is cleaned in the manner indicated in Example 1.
<I> Example 3: </I> A mixture of 250 parts of Iupfei phthalocyanine, 1 part of anhydrous ferric chloride and 1000 parts of chlorine is heated for one hour under pressure to 30 "C. The raw dye is then cleaned in the usual way.
<I> Example </I> t: 60 parts of copper phthalocyanine and 3 parts of antimony trisulfide; earths with 350 parts of sulphuryl chloride heated to 160-180 ° C. for 5 hours under pressure. The obtained (, mass is then added to water and the chlorinated dye is suctioned off.
After the dye has been boiled with about 5% sodium hydroxide solution, it is finely divided after filtering off and washing out with 1% infallon of concentrated sulfuric acid.
Example <B><I>5 :</I> </B> In 100 parts of trichlorobenzene, at <B> 130 </B> C 1 (-) parts of copper phthalocyanine and 1 part of antimony trisulfide are added. The mixture is then heated to 1 7 0 C and about 50 parts of chlorine are introduced over the course of ½ hours with vigorous stirring. The dye is then filtered off with suction and washed out with diehlobenzene. 180 parts of the new dye are obtained after drying.
Instead of trichlorobenzene, tetrachlorobenzene or mixtures of chlorobenzenes can also be used as diluents. EXAMPLE In a (, melt of 300 parts of anhydrous aluminum chloride and 60 parts of sodium chloride is stirred at 130-1d0 C 11) 0 part of copper phthalocyanine and passed in the course of about 1; Hours with vigorous stirring at 1.5 () C about 250 parts of chlorine.
Then. the melt is brought into 3000 parts of water with stirring, the dye is filtered off with suction, washed out with water and dried. This gives 190 parts of the new dye.
