Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen Nüpenfarhstoifes. Es wurde gefunden, dass man einen neuen Küpenfarbstoff erhält, wenn man das 3. 5. 8.10-Tetrabenzoylpyren mit Aluminium chlorid in Gegenwart eines verflüssigenden Mittels, wie Natriumchlorid, erhitzt. Der neue Farbstoff löst sich in Schwefelsäure mit blau stichig-violetter Farbe und färbt Baumwolle aus rotvioletter güpe, nach dem Verhängen und Seifen, in echten orangegelben Tönen.
<I>Beispiel:</I> Ein Gemisch, bestehend aus 300 Teilen Aluminiumchlorid, 60 Teilen Natriumchlorid, wird auf 155 erhitzt und in die dünnflüssige Schmelze im Verlaufe 1/4 Stunde 20 Teile 3. 5.<B>8.</B> 10-Tetrabenzoylpyren eingetragen. Da bei ist darauf zu achten, dass die Tempera tur der Schmelze immer bei 155-160 liegt. Nach beendetem Eintragen leitet man wäh rend 12 Stunden unter Innehaltung obigen Temperaturintervalles einen massigen Strom Sauerstoff durch die Schmelze. Die dunkle Schmelze wird hierauf in üb licher Weise aufgearbeitet.
Der erhaltene stumpfbraungelbe Rohfarbstoff wird durch Umküpen bei etwa 80 von unverküpbaren Anteilen befreit. Der isolierte Farbstoff kann gegebenenfalls durch eine Behandlung mit Salzen unterchloriger Säuren gereinigt werden.

It is important to ensure that the melt temperature is always 155-160. After the end of the introduction, a massive stream of oxygen is passed through the melt for 12 hours while maintaining the above temperature range. The dark melt is then worked up in the usual way.
The dull brown-yellow crude dye obtained is freed from unlinkable proportions by vatting at about 80. The isolated dye can optionally be purified by treatment with salts of hypochlorous acids.
