Bei der Einrichtung gemäss der Erfin dung sind die Räder des Getriebes ständig miteinander in Eingriff; das Rädergetriebe wirkt als Übersetzungsgetriebe zwischen den genannten Antriebsgliedern, wenn ein. an sich frei drehbares Glied des Getriebes mit- tels einer Bremse stillgestellt ist;
Fig. 1 zeigt, teilweise im Längsschnitt, die elektrische Maschine mit dem Räder getriebe, wobei die elektrischen Anschlüsse und Verbindungen nicht dargestellt sind; Fig. 2 ist ein Querschnitt nach A-A, Fig. 3 ein solcher nach B-B, Fig. 4 ein sol- eher nach C-C und Fig. 5 ein solcher nach D -D durch den Gegenstand von Fig. l; Fig. 6 ist das elektrische Schaltungs schema der Einrichtung mit der elektrischen Maschine und dem Rädergetriebe gemäss den Fig. 1 bis 5;
Nach einer weiteren in den Zeichnun gen nichtdargestellten Ausführungsvariante könnte auf der Welle 3 ein innenverzahntes Zahnrad aufgekeilt sein;
Device on internal combustion engines with an electrical machine serving as a starter motor and as a power generator. The invention relates to a device on internal combustion engines with an electric machine serving as a starter motor and as a power generator, a drive member connected to the internal combustion engine and a drive member connected to the electric Ma, and a gear train connecting these drive members.
Such devices are known in which the internal combustion engine and the electric machine are connected by the gear train with different gear ratios, depending on whether the electric machine is to serve as a starter motor or as a power generator. This makes it possible for the electric machine to work as a starter motor at full speed and full power without having to run inadmissibly fast as a power generator at full speed of the internal combustion engine.
In these known devices, when the transmission ratio is changed, claws, pawls, ring gears and the like are brought into and out of engagement, so that impacts occur and these parts wear out quickly.
In the device according to the inven tion, the gears of the transmission are constantly in engagement with one another; the gear train acts as a transmission gear between said drive members when a. a freely rotatable member of the transmission is stopped by means of a brake;
on the other hand, it forms a direct coupling connection between said drive members when said member of the transmission is coupled to one of them.
The figures show exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention.
Fig. 1 shows, partially in longitudinal section, the electric machine with the gear train, the electrical connections and connections are not shown; 2 is a cross section according to A-A, FIG. 3 one according to B-B, FIG. 4 one according to C-C and FIG. 5 one according to D-D through the object of FIG. 1; 6 is the electrical circuit diagram of the device with the electrical machine and the gear train according to FIGS. 1 to 5;
7 shows, partly in section, the electric machine with a different embodiment of the coupling; FIG. 8 is the electrical circuit diagram of the device according to FIG. 7; FIG. 9 shows a detail from FIG. 1 on a larger scale.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 6 and 9, the field winding 1 of the elec tric machine is fixed in the housing 2; On the armature shaft 3, besides the collector 6 connected to its winding 5, the pinion carrier 7 is keyed, which plays the role of the drive member connected to the electrical machine. This pinion carrier carries a Zap fen 8 on which a pair of rigidly connected pinions 9 and 10 runs freely.
The pinion 9 with the larger diameter engages in the internal toothing 11 of the drum 12 playing the role of the freely rotatable member, and the pinion 10 with the smaller diameter engages in the internal toothing 13 of the wheel 14, which the role of the internal combustion engine in connection stand the drive member. The pinion carrier 7, the wheel 14 and the drum 12 are arranged coaxially with one another.
The wheel 14 is mounted with its hub 15 in the bearing plate 16 and on the end of the kerwelle 3 and is permanently connected to the internal combustion engine via an elastic coupling and a shaft 18 in drive connection. This elastic coupling consists of an inner part 17 wedged onto the hub 15 with abutments 35 and a housing 36 connected to the shaft 18 with abutments 37 for the compression springs transmitting the torque. 38 (Fix. 1 and Fig. 4).
The drum 12 is freely rotatably mounted on the armature shaft 3 and on the hub 15 and can be coupled to the wheel 14 by means of a clutch influenced by the fixedly arranged electromagnetic coil 19. This clutch is designed as a friction clutch and consists of a disc 20 provided with a friction lining, which extends in the circumferential direction of the drum. 1.2 means, the pins 21 taken with and by springs 22 from the bottom of the drum 12 is pressed away against the wheel 14 ge.
The armature plate 23 is connected to the disk 20 by the pins 21 and is attracted by the electromagnet 19 when the current is switched on and causes the drum 12 to be decoupled from the wheel 14. The drum 12 can be shut down with respect to the gear housing 25 by means of the shoe brake 24, which is influenced by an electromagnet 26, by switching on the current for the latter.
A centrifugal switch 58 (Fix. @ 6) is attached to the armature shaft 3 of the electrical machine. This consists of a weight 27 with an eccentric center of gravity, which is carried along in its rotation by the stone 28 of the shaft 3 and is displaceable in the radial direction against the force of the pretensioned spring 29; (Fix. 1 and 3).
A ring <B> 31 </B> is rotatably mounted on the housing cover 30 concentrically to the shaft 3 and carries the one switch contact 32. This is: by .the spring 33 against the direction of rotation of the shaft 3, the stationary mating contact 34 is pressed. The electrical .Schaltung this device is shown in FIG.
In the starting circuit, one pole of the accumulator battery 40 is connected via a contact point 41 controlled by the switch 42 with the series starting field winding 43 of the electrical machine, which forms part of the field winding 1 and is in series with the winding 5 of the armature 4 is connected; the circuit is closed via the ground 44.
The shunt winding 49, which also belongs to the field winding 1, supports the series starting field winding 43 in its effect.
The main circuit for the power generator operation of the electrical machine leads from the terminal 45 via an automatic switch of known type 46, which only closes the circuit under the influence of the voltage coil 47 when the electrical machine supplies a certain minimum voltage, and below interrupts the influence of the current coil 48 when a reverse current occurs, and from this switch 46 via the battery 40, which in this case is a current consumer, to ground 44.
Other electricity consumers not shown, e.g. B. the ignition device of the internal combustion engine, a lighting system, etc. can be connected to the battery 40 par allel.
The excitation winding 49 for the current generator operation of the electrical machine is arranged in the shunt to the winding of the armature 4 and is controlled by an automatic controller, which is controlled in a known manner with the aid of a resistor 50 under the influence of a current coil 51 and a voltage coil 52 flowing currents regulate the excitation.
The circuits of the two electric magnets 19 of the clutch and 26 of the brake have a common line 53, in which another contact point 54 controlled by the multi-pole switch 42 is located. Thus, these two electromagnets are always turned on at the same time, and the turn off th of the current for the clutch electromagnet also causes the switch off of the one for the brake electromagnet.
As a result, the coupling of the drum 12 with the wheel 14, the release of the brake 24, and the stopping of the drum by means of the brake causes its decoupling from the wheel 14. In the circuit of the Bremselektromagne tes 2,6 is the centrifugal switch 58 described above .
The .Schalter 42 is operated electromagnetically by means of the coil 55; Its circuit contains, in addition to a manually operated switch 56, an auxiliary switch 57 which is coupled to the automatic switch 46 in such a way that it keeps the circuit of the coil 55 interrupted as long as the switch 4, 6 is closed.
The operation of the device described is as follows: To start the internal combustion engine, the manual switch 56 is closed so that a current flows through the coil 55 and the switch 42 is actuated in such a way that the two electromagnetic circuits ge at the contact point 54 be closed. This causes the electromagnets 26 and 19 to be excited, the drum 12 to be stopped by means of the brake 24 and, at the same time, to decouple it from the wheel 14.
By actuating the switch 42, the starting circuit of the electrical machine is closed at the contact point 41. Their armature 4 begins to turn and takes the pinion carrier 7 with it through the shaft 3. The pinion 9 rolls on the ring gear 11 of the immobilized drum 12, and the co-rotating smaller pinion 10 granted: the wheel 14 and thus the shaft 1,8 a relative to the shaft 3 strongly translated into slow rotary motion.
After the internal combustion engine has started, it accelerates the rotation of the electrical machine. When a certain speed is exceeded, the centrifugal force acting on the centrifugal weight 27 of the centrifugal holder overcomes the preload of the spring 29, applies to the ring 31 and takes it with it by friction against the force of the spring 33.
The contact 32, 34 opens and, by interrupting the current in the coil 26, causes the brake to be released. The gear then does not transmit any torque and the electric machine runs idle.
Then the current through the coil 55 is interrupted by opening the hold 5,6, and the switch 42 returns to the position shown in FIG.
As a result, the starting circuit of the electric machine is interrupted and the coil 19 is also de-energized, so that the drum 12 is coupled to the wheel 14 under the pressure of the springs 22. <B> Since </B> the sprockets 11 and 13 can no longer rotate relative to one another, a rolling of the pinion 9 and 10 on them is impossible; these thus couple the wheel 14 to the pinion carrier 7.
The electric machine is now driven by the internal combustion engine and works as a power generator as soon as the voltage between the terminal 45 and the mass 44 reaches the required minimum value and the automatic switch 46 has closed. In its closing movement, it opens the auxiliary switch 57 and thus prevents the electromagnet 55 from being switched on again.
This is a turn on the current for the clutch and the brake solenoid, the still make the drum 12 and the loosening of the clutch between the shafts 3 and 18 prevented when the electric machine is working as a generator.
In the embodiment of the device shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, the device for coupling the drum 12 to the wheel 14 is designed in such a way that the coupling electromag net 19 has to be excited in order to couple these parts. This then pulls the anchor plate 60 against the friction disk 61 firmly connected to the wheel 14, so that it has to rotate with the latter. The anchor plate 60, in turn, is constantly coupled to the drum 12 in the direction of rotation by teeth 62 which engage in grooves 63.
In this arrangement, the clutch electromagnet 19 must be energized while the electric machine is operating as a current generator, while the brake electromagnet 26 must be de-energized.
The multi-pole switch 42 therefore has a special contact point for each of the two electromagnetic circuits in this exemplary embodiment, namely the contact point SS4 for the clutch electromagnet 19 and the contact point 65 for the brake electromagnet 26.
The switch has only one bridge 66 for these two contact points, with the contact 64 for the clutch electromagnet being closed when the contact 41 in the starting circuit is interrupted, while the starting circuit and that of the brake magnet are in the other switch position are closed.
In order to be able to turn off when the brake engine is turned off for the power generator operation, a special switch 67 is provided in its circuit. This switch can be connected to the ignition switch of the internal combustion engine. The other parts of the device are the same as in the device according to FIGS. 1 to 6.
The brake could also be designed in such a way that it is released when the brake electromagnet is switched on. In this case, the circuit would expediently be made in such a way that the brake solenoid is switched off at the same time as the starting circuit is closed and the clutch is released.
. The device could also be designed without impairing its effect so that the direct coupling connection of the shaft 3 with the wheel 14 would result by coupling the drum 12 with the shaft 3. This would also make a rolling pinion 9 and 1-0 on the corresponding sprockets impossible.
According to another embodiment variant not shown in the drawings, an internally toothed gear could be keyed on the shaft 3;
an optionally couplable with this gear respectively. Also internally toothed drum, lockable by means of a brake. on the type of drum 12 in the drawings would be freely rotatable ge superimposed, and in the sprockets of this gear wheel and this drum would each engage one of two interconnected pinions that would be mounted on a ge with the shaft 18 coupled rotating pinion carrier.
Another possible embodiment would be that the internally toothed wheel and the internally toothed drum would each be coupled or keyed to one of the shafts 3 and 18, and that the pinion carrier itself would be freely rotatable, but optionally with one these internally toothed organs coupled respectively. could be determined by means of a brake.
The housing 36 of the elastic Kupp ment could be designed as a pulley, no and its drive connection with the internal combustion engine instead of the shaft 18 consist of a V-belt.
