It is common practice to attach chain locks to house doors and other doors, which can be opened from the outside either by means of a suitable key or by means of a rotatable knob or handle that is attached to the inside of the door by a detachable chain or the like with the unlocking device. The locking device of the lock is in connection, can be opened.
Roller insert locks have already been built to replace such chain locks. Such a deposit lock has an inner and an outer roller, which are located one behind the other in a bore of a lock housing, the lock nut acting on the lock bolt of the door lock being firmly connected to the inner roller and arranged between the two rollers.
Means are also provided which, after a key has been inserted into the outer roller, when turning the same, both rollers are rotated for opening and closing the lock, while the inner roller, which can be locked by a safety device, is rotated on one of the above Lock housing protruding part is designed as a button and with the latter the opening and closing of the lock from the inside is made possible without a key.
The subject matter of the present invention is a door lock that can be used in place of such locks, which is characterized in that the inner actuating member sits non-rotatably on a sleeve firmly connected to the nut, while the outer actuating member which is not firmly connected to the inner actuating member is freely rotatable in the nut is stored and can be coupled to the nut by a coupling element accommodated in the sleeve and operable from the inside of the door.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, namely FIG. 1 shows a horizontal section through the lock, FIG. 2 shows a section along the line A-B in FIG. 1 and Pig. 3 is a front view of the Pig. 1 seen in the direction of arrow C, while in Fig. 4 a plan view of part of the lock is illustrated.
The lock shown has a cylindrical member 1, which is rigidly connected by means of two fastening screws 2 to the lock nut 3 and at its protruding end has a square 3 1 on which the inner pusher 4 is placed, in its place also a knob could kick. A cylindrical coupling member 5 with a front rectangular notch, which rests on a compression spring 6 lying on the bottom of the member 1 and carries a continuous pin 7, is inserted into this link 1.
The member 1, which is provided with two diametrically opposed, right-angled slots (Fig. 4) is rotatably seated in a sleeve B. The pin 7 of the coupling member 5 is passed through the slots 9 of the Glie 1 and sits firmly at both ends in a hole in the sleeve B.
The handle 10 located on the outside of the door sits on a square 11 of an offset bolt 12 which is rotatably mounted in the lock nut 3 and rotatably carries a sleeve 13, the position of which is secured by a nut 14 placed on the bolt. The end of the bolt 12 is offset in a rectangular manner in such a way that it fits into the recess of the coupling member 5. The sleeve 13 itself is firmly connected to the link 1.
The mode of operation of the described arrangement is as follows: In the position shown in FIG. 1 of the coupling member 5, the outside pusher 10, which could also be replaced by a rotary knob, is actuated or. be rotated without the lock follower entering into function and thus the lock bolt is moved because only the bolt 12 within the lock follower 3 and the sleeve 13 is able to execute a rotary movement.
When the inside handle 4 is operated counter-clockwise (Forward) to the right of Pig.1, on the other hand, the link 1 rigidly connected to the lock follower 3 is moved and the lock bolt, not shown, is moved out of its locking position. position so that the door can be opened.
If the door is now to be able to be opened from the outside without the aid of a key, then the sleeve 8 is rotated clockwise, the pin 7 communicating a corresponding angular rotation to the coupling member 5, until the latter is parallel to the axis of the member 1 ver running part of the slots 9 is incident. Now under the pressure of the spring 6, the coupling member 5 and with this the sleeve 8 experiences an axial displacement until the abge set inner end of the bolt 12 on the bottom of the incision of the coupling member 5 rests.
In order not to prevent such an angular rotation of the coupling member 5 by the projecting screws 2 in its area, the latter is equipped with corresponding recesses 15 (FIG. 2) arranged on the outer jacket. If the outside handle 10 is now operated, its rotation is carried over, respectively. that of the bolt 12, onto the coupling member 5 and from this via the pin 7, the member 1 and the lock socket 3 onto the lock bolt.
The uncoupling of the outside handle from the lock bolt takes place only in such a way that the sleeve 8 is initially pulled axially backwards by hand while compressing the spring 6, whereupon it is angularly rotated counter to the clock, around the pin 7 perpendicular to the axis of the link 1 direction ended parts of the slots 9 to be able to return.
The described design of the actuating device loading can thereby experience a simplification that the sleeve 8 is omitted. In such a case, the pin is provided with at least one button or the like, which enables the pin 7 with the coupling member 5 to be rotated and displaced. However, the pin 7 can also only be extended so far that it can be grasped and operated by hand.
The opening of the door from the outside can therefore be accomplished or prevented in a simple manner by rotating and shifting a sleeve arranged on the inside of the door or another organ. The door lock known per se receives to carry out the coupling BEZW. Possibility of uncoupling the outside handle with the locking mechanism of the lock only a few additional parts that do not significantly affect the production costs.
The device described can not only be installed in new locks, but also existing locks can be provided with it. For this purpose, using the parts described, it is necessary, for example, to drill out the nut hole to accommodate certain parts and to fit two adjusting screws (2) into the lock follower.
