Gegenstand,des    vorliegenden     Patentes        ist     ein Verfahren zur     Darstellung    eines sauren       Monoazofarbstoffes,        welches    dadurchgekenn  zeichnet     ist,        4ass    man     4-(N-p-Toluolsulfo-N-          benzyl)        -amido    - 3     -methoxy-l-amidobenzol        ,

  di-          azotiert    und mit     N-Penzoyl-y-säure        kuppelt.       <I>Beispiel:</I>         3;8y2    Teile     4-(N-p-Toluolsulfo-N-henzyl)-          amido-3-methoxy-l-amidobenzol    werden mit  6,9 Teilen Nitrit und 25 Teilen     Salzsäure        di-          azotiert    und     in        Gegenwart    von     üherschüosi-          gem        Natriumacetat    mit 34,3 Teilen     N-Benzol-          y-säure    gekuppelt.

   Die Kupplung kann     auch     in     Gegenwart    von     Natriumbicarbonat    oder  ähnlich schwach     wirkenden    Neutralisations-         mitteln    vorgenommen werden. Der     isolierte     und :getrocknete     Farbstoff    bildet ein     rotes          Pulver,        welches    Wolle und Seide in     lebhaf-          ten        roten    Tönen färbt.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Darstellung eines sauren Monoazofarbstoffes, .dadurch ,gekennzeichnet, dass man 4-(N-p-Toluo1su lfo-N-benzyl-amido- 3-methoxy-l-ammdobenzol diazotiert und mit N-Denzoyl-y-säure kuppelt. Claim: Process for the preparation of an acidic monoazo dye, characterized in that 4- (N-p-Toluo1su lfo-N-benzyl-amido-3-methoxy-l-ammdobenzene is diazotized and coupled with N-denzoyl-γ-acid.
