Description
5 % Antimon, Rest Eisen, erwiesen.
Corrosion-resistant iron alloy. The invention forms a corrosion-resistant chromium-nickel-molybdenum-iron alloy with an antimony content. The alloy according to the invention has a high corrosion resistance, and is, for example, in its resistance to sodium or potassium hydroxide and especially to hydrochloric acid, the common chromium-nickel-molybdenum-iron alloys, for example the known austenitic chromium-nickel-molybdenum - Steels, considerably superior.
The alloy can usefully also contain an addition of copper.
The alloy according to the present invention has the following components in addition to iron: 0.02-1% carbon, 10-25% chromium, 20-40% nickel, 1-10% molybdenum, 0.5 to 2 / o antimony.
An alloy has proven to be particularly advantageous which contains less than 0.2% carbon, 13-20% chromium, 27 to 33% nickel, 2-5% molybdenum, 0.5 to 2% antimony, the remainder iron,
with or without the usual impurities and optionally also contains 2-6 / o copper. An alloy with 0.04 '/ o carbon, 13' / o chromium, 30 '/ o nickel, p / o molybdenum, 5% copper, 1, has proven to be very resistant, for example against the attack of hot, high-percentage hydrochloric acid.
5% antimony, the remainder iron, has been proven.
