Pinselvorband. Das Vorband von -#"orbandpinseln besteht bis anhin entweder aus Blech oder aus einer schraubenlinienartig aufgewundenen Schnur, welche nach :dem Aufwinden verleimt wird. Das aus Schnur bestehende Vorband hat den Vorteil, dass es, nachdem die Borsten des. Pinsels bis zu einem ,gewissen Grade abge nützt sind, beliebig verkürzt werden kann, so :dass: :der freiliegende Teil der Borsten wie der die richtige Länge erhält.
Umgekehrt weist aber :dieses Vorband den Nachteil auf, dass: die Verleimung der Schnur nur einen ungenügenden Schutz gegen den Einfluss: der mit dem Pinsel zu verarbeitenden Materia lien bietet, so dass :das Vorband die notwen dige Festigkeit in vielen Fällen frühzeitig verliert und auch .dem Faulen ausgesetzt ist. Ausserdem verursacht die Fixierung des En des des Vorban:des nach der Verkürzung viel Mühe. Es isst deshalb auch schon vorgeschla gen worden, das Vorband anstatt aus Schnur aus Draht herzustellen.
Die Drahtwindun gen werden dabei miteinander leicht ver lötet, so dass sie wohl zusammengehalten werden, zur Verkürzung ges Vorbandes aber doch leicht abgetrennt werden können. Die ses Drahtvorband hat :den Nachteil, dass es etwas zu starr am Pinselstiel sitzt, so dass sich an seinem vordern Ende beider Verkür zung scharfe Kanten bilden können, durch welche die Börsten: des Pinsels verletzt wer den können.
Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung ist nun ein P'ins,elvorband, welches, aus einer aus schraubenlinienförmig gewundenem Draht gebildeten Hülse besteht, deren Windungen so miteinander verlötet sind, dassi sie wieder getrennt werden können, und die biss unmit telbar an den das Borstenbündel hinten:
um fassenden Kopf des Pinselstiels. heranreicht und mit mindestens zwei Lappen: beweglich am Kopf des Pinselstiels befestigt ist.
Das Pinselvorband gemäss der Erfindung lässt sich durch Abtrennen einzelner Draht windungen beliebig verkürzen. Der genannte Nachteil der bekannten Pinselvorbänder aus Draht und die damit vembundenen, Unannehm- lichkeiten;
werden aber vermieden bezw. her- abgemindert, und zwar dadurch, dass das Pinselvorband nicht auf dem Kopf des Pin selstiels stau befestigt oder in demselben starT eingesetzt wird, sondern nur bis unmit telbar an den Kopf des Pinselstiels her anreicht und mit Lappen beweglich an diesem Kopf befestigt wird.
Das Pinsel- vorband erhält dadurch eine gewisse Bewe gungsmöglichkeit, verliert also seine Starr heit und kann beim Gebrauch der Bewegung der Borsten etwas nachgeben. Es wird da durch in vermehrtem Masse als bisher ver mieden, dass die Borsten am vordern Rande des Pinselvorbandes verletzt werden können.
In der Zeichnung ist eine beispielsweise Ausführungsform des Erfindungsgegenstan des dargestellt. Es zeigen: Fig. 1 eine Ansicht eines Pinsels mit Vorband gemäss :der Erfindung, Fig. 2, eine andere Ansicht desselben Pin sels in Gebrauchsstellung.
Mit 1 ist der Holzstiel des Pinsels und mit 2 dessen Kopf bezeichnet, in welchem das Borstenbündel 3: eingesetzt ist und der somit eine Holzeinfassung :des letzteren bil det. Das Borstenbündel .3 ist in ein Vorband 4 gefasst, welches aus schraubenlinienförmig aufgewundenem Draht, dessen einzelne Mrin- dungen so miteinander verlötet sind, dass sie wieder getrennt werden können, besteht. Das Vorband 4 reicht bis unmittelbar an den Rand des Kopfes 2 heran.
Am Vorband 4 sitzen zwei Lappen 5, welche mittelst eines Stiftes 6 am Kopf 2 :derart befestigt sind, dass sich das Vorband etwas um,den Stift 6 drehen kann. In Fig. 2 ist dargestellt, wie sich das Vorband beim Gebrauch des Pinsels bewegt.
Da eine ganz geringe Bewegung des Vor bandes dem befolgten Zweclz genügt, können zur Befestibgung,des Vorbandes am Kopf des Stiels, insbesondere bei "grösseren Pinseln, auch drei Lappen verwendet werden, welche genügend flexibel sind, um dem Vorband die geringe Bewegungsmöglichkeit zu geben.
Brush pre-band. The pre-tape of - # "orbandpinseln has so far either been made of sheet metal or a helically wound cord, which is glued after winding. The pre-tape, which consists of cord, has the advantage that, after the bristles of the brush up to a, are worn to a certain degree, can be shortened as required, so that:: the exposed part of the bristles is of the correct length.
Conversely, however: this sliver has the disadvantage that: the gluing of the cord only offers insufficient protection against the influence of: the materials to be processed with the brush, so that: the sliver loses the necessary strength prematurely in many cases and also . exposed to laziness. In addition, the fixation of the end of the Vorban: des after shortening causes a lot of trouble. It has therefore already been suggested that the opening strip be made of wire instead of string.
The wire windings are slightly soldered together, so that they are held together, but can easily be separated to shorten the pre-strip. This wire pre-strip has the disadvantage that it sits a little too rigidly on the brush handle, so that sharp edges can form at the front end of both shortening, which can injure the brush stems.
The subject matter of the present invention is a pin, which consists of a sleeve made of helically wound wire, the turns of which are soldered together in such a way that they can be separated again, and which bit directly on the rear of the bundle of bristles:
around the head of the brush handle. and with at least two lobes: is movably attached to the head of the brush handle.
The brush strip according to the invention can be shortened as desired by cutting off individual wire turns. The mentioned disadvantage of the known wire brush pre-bands and the associated inconveniences;
but are avoided respectively. Reduced, namely by the fact that the brush pre-strip is not attached to the head of the brush handle or used in the same starT, but only reaches right up to the head of the brush handle and is movably attached to this head with rags.
This gives the brush strip a certain freedom of movement, so it loses its rigidity and can give way a little when the bristles move. It is avoided by ver more than before that the bristles on the front edge of the brush apron can be injured.
In the drawing, an example embodiment of the subject invention is shown. 1 shows a view of a brush with a pre-strip according to the invention; FIG. 2 shows another view of the same pin in the position of use.
1 with the wooden handle of the brush and with 2 its head is referred to, in which the bristle bundle 3: is inserted and thus a wooden surround: the latter bil det. The bristle bundle .3 is held in a pre-strip 4, which consists of helically wound wire, the individual threads of which are soldered to one another in such a way that they can be separated again. The pre-tape 4 extends right up to the edge of the head 2.
On the opening strip 4 sit two tabs 5 which are fastened to the head 2 by means of a pin 6 in such a way that the opening strip can turn around the pin 6 a little. In Fig. 2 it is shown how the pre-strip moves when the brush is used.
Since a very small movement of the pre-band is sufficient for the purpose followed, three lobes can be used to fasten the pre-band to the head of the handle, especially with larger brushes, which are sufficiently flexible to allow the pre-band little movement.
