Description
verfahren zur Herstellung des Betains aus n-Dodecylaminoessigsänre. Es wurde ein Verfahren zur Herstellung des Betains aus n-Dodecylaminoessigsäure gefunden, welches darin besteht, dass man Dimethyl-n-:dodecylamin mit einem Alkali metallsalz der Monochloressigsäure umsetzt.
Die so erhaltene Verbindung ist von salbenartiger Konsistenz und löst sich auch in der Kälte in hartem Wasser klar auf, ebenso in alkalischem und saurem Medium. Sie eignet sich zur Verwendung als Netz-, Wasch-, Reinigungs- und Dispergiermittel. <I>Beispiel:</I> Zu 213 Teilen Dimethyl-n-dodecylamin werden bei 7-5-80'C im Verlauf einer hal ben Stunde 140 Teile Kaliumsalz der Mono chloressigsäure zugefügt. Nach einer halben Stunde löst sich das Reaktionsprodukt in Wasser klar.
Das so erhaltene Produkt kann. als Netzmittel auch in hartem Wasser ver wendet werden.

The compound thus obtained has an ointment-like consistency and dissolves clearly in hard water even in the cold, as well as in alkaline and acidic media. It is suitable for use as a wetting, washing, cleaning and dispersing agent. <I> Example: </I> 140 parts of the potassium salt of monochloroacetic acid are added to 213 parts of dimethyl-n-dodecylamine at 7-5-80'C in the course of half an hour. After half an hour, the reaction product dissolves clear in water.
The product thus obtained can. can also be used as wetting agents in hard water.
