Elektrische Windrichtungsanzeigevorrichtung.
Electric wind direction indicator. The invention relates to an electrical wind direction display device in which the position of the wind vane is displayed on a display panel by electrical means.
Such arrangements come into consideration, for example, for meteorological stations, weather reporting points, tourist hotels, mountain houses, club huts, civil and military airfields, commercial and war ports, heating centers for large buildings, and other companies for which a weather report is important.
The known arrangement without transferring the positions of the wind vane to a display panel are disadvantageous in that the setting (direction) of the wind vane can only be observed from outside the building. In darkness, fog, heavy snowfall, smoke, etc., observation of the wind vane is impossible at all.
The present invention eliminates all of these disadvantages of the known arrangements in a simple manner in that the wind vane is assembled with a contact device which has two contacts attached to a crank and movably arranged on contact strips. The contact tracks are connected to a display board via connecting lines. The movably arranged contacts can be designed, for example, as contact rollers or as resilient sliding contacts.
Any suitable type of current and voltage can of course be used for electrical transmission.
The drawing represents an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention.
In the same shows: Fig.l the wind vane with Kontaktein direction, Fig. 2 the insulating plate with built-up Kontaktbabnen seen from above, Fig.3 the rectangular display panel with electrical connection lines.
The wind vane 1 influenced by the wind is connected to the rod 2, which rests in the two ball bearings 8 . The double-armed contact crank 4 with the two contact rollers 5 sits on the rod 2. The wind vane moves the two con tact rollers 5 over the two contact tracks 6 and 7. The latter are mounted on the insulating plate 8. The two contact tracks 6 and 7 are electrically connected together by the wire connections 9 and 10 with the display panel (Fig. 3). The insulating sleeve 11 sits on the flagpole. The contact crank, which is thus electrically insulated from the flagpole itself, sits on this insulating sleeve. The screw 12 is used to fasten the insulating sleeve.
The flagpole is held in place in the ball bearings 3 by the clamping nut 13. 14 serves as a protective cover against rain and 15 is a two-part ball driven from sheet copper with a cover that can be lifted upwards as mechanical protection for the contact device.
Fig. 2 shows eight contact segments 6 for the different cardinal directions. The contact ring labeled 7 is used for single-pole power supply (the other pole leads directly to all signal lamps). The insulating lamellae 16 electrically separate the contact segments 6 from one another. 17 are the connecting lines from the contact device and from the power source to the eight lamps 18, which are arranged under the arrows 19 on the display panel. 21 is the field for the inclusion of a map, which is expediently inserted in such a way that the sky directions coincide with those attached to the frame of the display board.
