Description
Verfahren zur Darstellung eines gelben substantiven Baumwollfarbstoffes. Nach der deutschen Patentschrift Nr. 65402 erhält man durch Einwirkung alkalischer Oxydationsmittel auf Dehydrothiotoluidirr- sulfosäure und ihre Homologen gelbe Sub stantive Baumwollfarbstoffe.
Es wurde nun gefunden, dass man einen wesentlich lichtechteren, grünstichig gelben Farbstoff erhält, wenn man die in der deut schen Patentschrift Nr. 277395 beschriebene 2-p-Aminophenyl-6-carboxy-benzthiazol-sulfo- säure dem obigen Verfahren unterwirft.
Der neue Farbstoff 'bildet ein oranges, in Wasser leicht lösliches Pulver und färbt die pflanzliche Faser in einem grünstichigen, sehr lichtechten Gelb. In konzentrierter Schwefel säure löst er sich mit rotbratrrrer Farbe.
<I>Beispiel:</I> In die Lösung von 35 Teilen 2-p-Amino- phenyl-g-carboxy-benzthiazol-sulfosäure in 8 bis 9 Teilen Ätznatron und 800 bis 1000 Teilen Wasser lässt man unter gutem Rühren 180 Teile einer Natriumhypochloritlösung, die 100 bis 120 Teile aktives Chlor im Liter enthält, einfliessen, rührt vorteilhaft mehrere Stunden bei Raumtemperatur nach und er hitzt dann zur Vollendung der Farbstoff bildung auf 70 bis 80 . Der Farbstoff wird durch Aussalzen isoliert.
Process for the preparation of a yellow substantive cotton dye. According to German Patent No. 65402, the action of alkaline oxidizing agents on dehydrothiotoluidirulfonic acid and its homologues gives yellow sub stantive cotton dyes.
It has now been found that a significantly more lightfast, greenish yellow dye is obtained if the 2-p-aminophenyl-6-carboxy-benzothiazole-sulfonic acid described in German patent specification No. 277395 is subjected to the above process.
The new dye forms an orange powder that is easily soluble in water and colors the vegetable fiber in a greenish, very lightfast yellow. In concentrated sulfuric acid it dissolves with a roast red color.
<I> Example: </I> In the solution of 35 parts of 2-p-aminophenyl-g-carboxy-benzthiazole-sulfonic acid in 8 to 9 parts of caustic soda and 800 to 1000 parts of water, 180 parts of a water are allowed with thorough stirring Sodium hypochlorite solution, which contains 100 to 120 parts of active chlorine per liter, is poured in, advantageously stirred for several hours at room temperature and then heated to 70 to 80 to complete the dye formation. The dye is isolated by salting out.
