Baumtemperatur-Regler.
Tree temperature regulator. For room temperature controllers, the conditions of simplicity, cheapness and the possibility of switching greater powers have recently been set and the spirals used in the usual way for such controllers as temperature elements are not right for all of these conditions, as these result in only low torsional forces that are out of the question for a power switch.
Bi metal strips for temperature switches in connection with a magnet to be used, whereby by moment tilting a leg of the bimetal strip between the poles of the magnet contact made respectively. is interrupted, is also known, but this temperature element is not suitable in the usual form and type of arrangement to achieve a controller that corresponds to the conditions mentioned, especially those of switching greater powers.
The aim of the present invention is to create a room temperature controller which fulfills the stated conditions. According to the invention, the bimetallic strip, which made contact with a free leg by moment tilting between the poles of a magnet, respectively. interrupts, at a ratio of at least 1:70 the thickness to the width, a short fastening leg and a longer free leg, to with a large surface in. To achieve a great force in relation to the volume and thus the small thermal inertia of the bimetal strip on the free leg.
The drawing shows several Ausfüh approximately examples of the invention.
Fig. 1 illustrates the basic arrangement in elevation; Fig. 2 shows an embodiment with order switch, including Fig. 3 is a plan view; Fig. 4 shows an embodiment with off switch and Fig. 5 shows a detail in longitudinal section again.
As FIG. 1 shows, a permanent magnet 2 is attached to a base plate 1. In addition, a carrier 3 is arranged on the base plate 1, to which a bracket 5 is articulated at 4, that is to say approximately in the plane of the mouth of the magnet 2. On the bracket 5, which loads from the side down, a bimetallic strip 6 of large width (Fig. 3) and small thickness with a leg 6 'is attached. The ratio of thickness to width is at least 1:70.
This bimetallic strip 6 is bent into a U-shape, runs around the axis 4 of the bracket 5 and has a free leg 6 ", the whole arrangement being such that the fastening leg 6 'is short, the free leg 6" is longer. An iron plate 7 that protrudes into the mouth of the magnet 2 is riveted to the free leg 6 ″.
Another bracket 9 is hinged to the bracket 5 by means of screws 8, through which a bolt 11 is screwed by means of a threaded arrangement 10. The bolt 11 is, as shown in FIG. 5 in particular, with a bore 12 pushed over a pin 13 and is based on a screw nut head 14 of the latter. The pin 13 is adjustable in height by means of a threaded projection 15 in a Bol zen 16 fixedly arranged on the base plate 1 and can be secured in its setting by means of a lock nut 17.
The bolt 11 protrudes through a hole 18 of the leg 6 "of the bimetallic band 6 and carries the magnet 2 and the bimetallic band 6, as well as the bracket 5, 9 and the carrier 3 cover the lid 19, a rotary knob 20. This rotary knob 20 can adjusted by means of a pointer 21 on a scale provided on the cover 19, that is, the controller can be set to different response temperatures.
A spring 22 acts in the vicinity of the fastening of the leg 6 'on the bracket 5 and prevents play between the brackets 5 and 9, as well as the bolt 11 and the screw nut head 14.
The basic arrangement described has the consequence that, in the event of a preload, the bimetallic strip 6 is given by means of the rotary knob 20 by setting it to the corresponding temperature value on the scale; when this temperature occurs in the room where the controller is located, the The bimetallic strip 6 changes in such a way that the iron plate 7, which was attracted to one of the poles of the magnet 2, is moved away from the latter until the magnetic effect of the other pole predominates and this attracts the iron plate 7.
This Mag- rretische tilting can now BEZW in various ways for production. Interruption of a contact.
According to FIGS. 2 and 3, apart from the iron plate 7, a tab 23 made of insulating material is attached to the free leg 6 ″ of the bimetallic strip 6 and carries a double contact piece 24 that is connected to a connection point 26 by a cable 25 Carrier 27 has two contact pieces 28, 29 isolated from each other, that is, the contact device represents a container, whereby contact is made in both end positions of the bimetal strip 6 and one circuit is interrupted and the other circuit is closed by the magnetic tilting.
The arrangement could also be such that the free leg 6 "acts with play on a movable rocker that carries contact pieces and is also under the influence of the poles of the magnet 2, so that the free leg 6" extends over a large part of its way, Can move freely between the magnetic poles Lind only takes the rocker with it towards the end of the movement until it in turn tilts magnetically so that its contact pieces make contact or. interrupt or cause a switchover.
According to FIG. 4, only the iron plate 7 is arranged on the free leg 6 ″. A fixed contact 30 and a resilient contact 31 are arranged on the carrier 27. On the latter there is a tab 32 made of insulating material, which extends into the play area of the free leg 6 "protrudes and forms a stop. If the free leg 6 ″ tilts when the bimetal strip 6 is switched off, after a certain idle gear it hits the stop tab 32 and lifts the movable contact piece 31 from the fixed contact piece 30, which means that the contact is interrupted.
The use of a bimetallic strip of great width and small thickness, as well as a short fastening and a longer free limb that effects the establishment and interruption of contact enables light with a large surface area and thus low thermal inertia, as well as great rigidity of the bimetallic strip on the free limb to achieve a large force, so that relatively large powers (up to 20 A 220 V) can be switched directly ge, for example according to the arrangement shown in FIG.
The controller according to the invention offers a large number of combinations with regard to the arrangement of contact pieces. In addition to the simple toggle switches already mentioned, multiple toggles and switches can be used.
