In der Zeichnung sind Ausführungsbei spiele des Verfahrens veranschaulicht. Fig. 1 zeigt ein Diagramm, das eine Vorstellung von dem bei dem Auswalzen des Werk stückes entstehenden Vorgang geben soll; Fig. 2 zeigt in schematischer Darstel lung die Tätigkeit schwingender Walzen körper; Fig. ss zeigt eine andere Anordnung der Walzenkörper, die in diesem Fall umlaufen;
Process for the production of strip metal and sheet metal. The invention relates to a method for producing strip metal and sheet metal. The starting workpiece can consist, for example, of a thick iron plate for the production of strip iron from thick flat iron and for the production of iron sheet. According to the invention, the metal strip or sheet metal is produced in such a way that .that the workpiece is gradually rolled down coldly from one end through roller bodies with smooth eccentric to the axis of rotation.
For the execution of the present method, for example, roller bodies with eccentric working surfaces come into consideration, which are swingably seated on a reciprocating slide and roll on the workpiece during this slide movement. There are already processes for rolling out pipes or rods from a thicker workpiece. With these, however, the roller bodies are calibrated on their eccentric working surfaces according to the pipe or rod shape of the workpiece and the end product to be achieved, while the working surfaces for the present production of strip metal and sheet metal are smooth, i.e. without caliber.
By means of such a method, a cross-section reduction of well over 60% can be achieved in one work step and in a cold way, with a particularly advantageous structure of the end product also being obtained. This significantly improves the strength values.
In the drawing, Ausführungsbei games of the method are illustrated. Fig. 1 shows a diagram which is intended to give an idea of the process occurring when the workpiece is rolled out; Fig. 2 shows a schematic presen- tation of the activity of vibrating roller bodies; Fig. Ss shows another arrangement of the roller bodies, which rotate in this case;
FIG. 4 shows an exemplary embodiment of the device for moving the vibrating roller body according to FIG. 2 in: the side view; Fig. 5 shows the associated front view.
Like from Fix. 1, one can imagine the processing of the workpiece in such a way that inclined layers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 are processed gradually from one end of the workpiece through .the roller body with an eccentric work surface, so that, for example, the thin Band iron with the intended - thinner end profile progressively grows out immediately. The arrow indicates the rolling direction. With each step, the workpiece is thus reduced to a certain distance from point to point, but each time it is reduced to the desired thin cross-section.
The machining of the workpiece is one-sided in FIG. 1, but is advantageously done on both sides of the workpiece in such a way that it is machined between two rollers.
-In Fig. 2, a is the workpiece. It is assumed that this workpiece represents a thick flat iron from which a thin strip iron b is produced. c and d are two sector-like roller bodies that are pivotably mounted at e and f and have smooth working surfaces that run eccentrically to the axes of rotation. The roller bodies are stored in a slide h that can be moved back and forth.
It is assumed that the workpiece has already been partially converted into the shape of a thin iron band, and that the oscillating roller bodies c and d are in a central position during their working stroke. This working stroke is effected by moving the carriage h in the direction of the arrow x, while the work stuck a stands still, on which the ex-centric working surfaces of the roller bodies c and d roll.
After completion of the working stroke, the carriage h is moved back in the direction of the arrow y and the workpiece a is advanced by a certain amount in the direction of the arrow z, whereupon the carriage is moved again in the direction of the arrow x when the workpiece is stationary. and so on.
The oscillation of the roller body can be done about by the indicated in Fig. 4 and 5 on a smaller scale device by laterally next to the pressure hulls c and d on the same axis sectors m and n of the same size and shape are swingably attached, which at The back and forth movement of the carriage roll on stationary toothed racks o and p.
The same mode of operation can also be achieved according to FIG. 3 by fixedly mounted to rotating rollers i, k, on which protruding, smooth, eccentric working surfaces il and i2 respectively. k 'and k2 are attached.
These work surfaces come into action when the rollers run around, and since the rotating rollers are stationary, the workpiece must be moved in the direction of the arrow x in order to. To achieve a relative movement corresponding to the carriage movement of FIG. The gradual advance of the workpiece in the times between the processing by the roller body happens in the direction of the arrow y.
It should also be noted that the work piece always moves relatively slowly during the working stroke of the pressure body, but that since the cross-section is reduced to the final profile in each stage and only a single operation is required, the total time for the manufacture The position is much shorter than before, apart from the fact that the system and operation are extremely simple, so that for this reason, too, the process is far superior to the processes known up to now for the production of thin strip and thin sheet metal appears.
If the reduction that can be achieved in a single work step is not sufficient, the workpiece can of course be subjected to the same process again in a second work step in order to thin it even further. If necessary, the procedure can be repeated several times until the final desired dilution is achieved. Then the advantage of cold rolling and the possibility of output directly from a cheap thick workpiece, such as a flat iron, would still be preserved.
Despite the considerable reduction and thinness of the end product, the edges of the metal strip (or sheet) do not tear, as would actually be feared.
