Vehicle window support device. The object of the present invention is a vehicle glass support device. This device is characterized by a cross member on which the glass rests, and by at least one lever articulated on the frame of the vehicle, one end of which is articulated to an articulated bar, itself, on the cross member, the other end of said cross member. lever being subjected to the action of a spring which tends to balance the weight of the ice.
The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the present invention.
Fig. 1 is a front elevation; fig. 2 is a section, on a larger scale, by II-II of FIG. 1.
1 is a horizontal cross member on which is fixed, by means of the clamps 2, the glass 3. 4 are two levers articulated at 5, on a flange 6, fixed to a tube 7, itself fixed to the uprights 8 of the vehicle frame. By their upper ends, these levers 4 are articulated to the lower end of bars 9, the upper ends of which are articulated at 10 to the cross member 1. 11 are two coil springs fixed, on the one hand, to the tube 7, d 'on the other hand, at the lower end of the lever 4, and tending to approximate the weight of the ice cream, so that it remains motionless at any point where it is brought. 12 is a vertical slide fixed to the frame of the vehicle and having, in cross section, the shape of a U.
On this slide moves the slide 13 fixed to the cross member 1 and disposed against the opening of the U, so as to form, with the latter, an enclosed space in which are housed two pins 14 fixed to the slide 13 and bearing, each, a ball bearing. 15, where the outer crown rests against the slide 12. Thanks to the latter and to the slide 13, the crystal is guided, in its vertical movements, without it being able to get stuck in its slideways, which is very important. , especially if the ice is large.
