Description
Schalldämpfer für Brennkraftmasehinen. Der Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Schalldämpfer für Brennkraftmaschinen.
Der Schalldämpfer gemäss der Erfindung unterscheidet sieh von andern Schalldämp fern dadurch. dass die Abgase zuerst mehrere parallel geschaltete Röhrchen durchströmen und. in einen Sammelraum gelangen, wo sie sich vereinigen und dass sie von diesem Sam melraum durch mehrere parallel geschaltete Röhrchen in einen zweiten Sammelraum strömen, wo sie sich wieder vereinigen und aus welchem sie durch mehrere gleichfalls parallel geschaltete Röhrchen zum Austritts ende gelangen.
Der Erfindungsgegenstand ist in bei liegender Zeichnung in einem Ausführungs beispiel dargestellt.
Fig. 1 zeigt den Schalldämpfer im Längs schnitt; Fig. 2, 3, 4 sind Schnitte nach den Linien E-F, C-D und A-B der Fig. 1..
An das Eintrittsrohr a sind sechs Röhr chen b angeschlossen. Die Röhrchen b teilen die Abgase zwangläufig bis zur Sammelkam- mer c, wo sich .die Abgase wieder vereinigen. Von der Sammelkammer c werden die Ab gase durch acht Röhrchen d getrennt in die Sammelkammer e geleitet., wo sich die Ab gase wieder vereinigen. Durch drei Röhrchen f werden die Abgase von der Sammelkammer e zur Austrittseite g des Schalldämpfers ge leitet.
Wie ersichtlich, sind die Röhrchen jeder Rohrgruppe unter sich parallel geschaltet. Die Röhrchen sind an den Sammelraumwän- den befestigt. Die Röhrchen<I>b, d</I> sind an ihren vordern, und die Röhrchen f an ihren hintern Enden abgebogen. Bei stark knal lenden Brennkraftmaschinen können die Röhrchen an beiden Enden abgebogen wer den. Dadurch wird die Schalldämpfung ver bessert.

The muffler according to the invention distinguishes it from other mufflers. that the exhaust gases first flow through several tubes connected in parallel and. get into a collecting space, where they unite and that they flow from this collecting space through several parallel-connected tubes into a second collecting space, where they reunite and from which they pass through several parallel-connected tubes to the outlet end.
The subject of the invention is shown in an embodiment example in the accompanying drawing.
Fig. 1 shows the muffler in longitudinal section; Fig. 2, 3, 4 are sections along the lines E-F, C-D and A-B of Fig. 1 ..
Six tubes b are connected to the inlet pipe a. The tubes b divide the exhaust gases inevitably up to the collecting chamber c, where the exhaust gases combine again. From the collecting chamber c, the exhaust gases are passed through eight tubes d separately into the collecting chamber e, where the exhaust gases combine again. The exhaust gases are passed through three tubes f from the collecting chamber e to the outlet side g of the silencer.
As can be seen, the tubes of each tube group are connected in parallel among themselves. The tubes are attached to the walls of the collecting chamber. The tubes <I> b, d </I> are bent at their front ends, and the tubes f at their rear ends. With strong knal looming internal combustion engines, the tubes can be bent at both ends who the. This improves the sound attenuation.
