Rollkolbenverdiehter.
Rotary piston twist. The invention relates to a rotary piston compressor with a hollow piston containing lubricating oil, the eccentrically mounted shaft of which is recessed on one side to compensate for the rotating masses. In these compressors, the surfaces created by the recess on the shaft strike like a shovel into the oil in the cavity of the piston, resulting in a considerable loss of power.
In order to avoid this disadvantage, according to the invention, the recess is covered by a thin jacket made of sheet metal or the like, which is accordingly cylindrical at least approaching the shaft diameter.
An embodiment of the subject of the invention is shown in the drawing, namely Fig. 1 shows a longitudinal section, Fig. 2 shows a cross section through a compressor according to the invention. In the cylindrical bore of a Ge housing 1, which is closed at its ends by two essentially the same cover 2, a cylindrical piston 3 runs around. The piston 3 is arranged on a shaft 4, the bearing journals 5 are eccentric to the shaft center. The pins are mounted in the covers 2.
The air intake duct is denoted by 6, the abutment slide dividing the working space is denoted by 7 and the pressure air outlet is denoted by 8.
The lubricating oil is fed under pressure through a line 9 to a chamber 10 of the right cover 2 (fix. 1). From there it flows through the bores 11, 12 of the shaft 4 to the piston bearings 13. The oil pressed out of the bearings 13 collects in the cavity 14 of the piston 3.
The shaft 4 is recessed on the side of the larger lever arm at 15, whereby two roof-shaped mutually inclined longitudinal surfaces 16 arise on the shaft. During the rotation of the shaft, these surfaces would find considerable resistance in the oil collected in the cavity 14, so that they would act like a fluid brake. To avoid this, a thin-walled metal jacket is placed around the recess, which rotates with the shaft and is correspondingly circular-cylindrical to the shaft.
The easiest way to overlap the recess is to slide an appropriately sized, longitudinally slotted sheet metal sleeve 17 over the middle part of the shaft, which is held on the shaft by indentations 18 along the outer edges of the surfaces 16.
So that the piston 3 can easily be pushed onto the shaft 4 when the compressor is being assembled, the middle piece of the shaft 4 can be turned to the length of the sleeve 17 so that the sleeve does not go beyond the circumference of the piston 3 after being pushed on supporting parts of the shaft 4 protrudes.
