Process for the production of a dust-tight, seal-proof litter lock. It is known to firmly connect metallic vessels for powdery substances with a scatter lid made of the same metal and to provide this lid with an easily removable and reusable metallic cap; In this process, the powdery container contents are not sealed tightly.
It is also known to close vessels with a perforated metal sheet metal by flanging so that a raised, bead-like edge is formed, and to cover the lower-lying screen part with a cardboard disc. Here, too, there is no seal-proof closure; In particular, a dust-tight closure that protects against external damage, weather and other adverse influences is not guaranteed.
According to the present invention, the litter closure on vessels for powdery substances is produced in such a way that a perforated metal sheet with a lower sieve part is first inserted into the opening of the vessel and the sheet metal part resting on the edges of the vessel wall by folding, beading or Pressing attached to the edges of the vessel wall in such a way that a sieve lid with an upstanding, firmly and airtightly connected to the vessel wall, bead-like edge is created.
This sieve lid is then covered with a soft metal foil by pressing on all sides and, by beading the soft metal foil with the bead-like edge of the metal lid together, it is sealed against dust and moisture, protects against volatilization and deterioration of the contents of the vessel and is seal-proof against removal, falsification or confusion, only achieved by tearing open the removable closure.
The sieve lid is expediently made of tinplate, brass or some other hard metal that is corrosion-resistant to the effects of weather and the contents of the vessel, while aluminum foil or the like is advantageously used for the soft metal cap. The soft metal foil is expediently provided with a gripping attachment, by means of which the cover can simply be opened and removed before use.
In FIGS. 1 to 4, the production process of a litter lock according to the invention is shown in an exemplary embodiment. A is a vessel, b is a perforated sheet metal and c is a soft metal sheet. The closing takes place as follows:
In. the open vessel a is a perforated sheet, the middle perforated, lower-lying part of which just fits into the vessel opening, inserted so that the higher edge rests on the vessel walls (Fig. 1).
This edge is then tightly crimped around the vessel walls (Fig. 2), then a soft metal foil of the same size is placed on the metallic lid (Fig. 3) and also pressed on by crimping around the raised bead of the lid (Fig. 4). .
