Fruchtpresse.
Fruit press. The present invention relates to a fruit press.
To express the fruit juice from fruits, such as lemons, oranges, etc. be, one usually uses the well-known press cone with a lower rim or a saucer to collect the fruit juice. Since the halved fruit is squeezed out by hand by turning it on the press cone, the fingers become damp and sticky, and in an effort to squeeze out the juice completely, the skin is very often torn in places.
These inconveniences are eliminated in the fruit press according to the invention in that it has a trough for receiving a half of the fruit and a holder, hinged to it, in which a press cone that can be screwed down into the trough is mounted.
The press cone holder is expediently designed as a box-shaped cover with an internal thread, in which the press cone is guided with a corresponding thread attachment; however, it can also be designed, for example, as a bracket with a nut thread for a screw spindle carrying the press cone .
Embodiments of the subject of the invention are shown in the drawing, namely: FIG. 1 shows a first embodiment of the fruit press in vertical section and FIG. 2 the same in horizontal section; Fig. 3 shows a second embodiment form in vertical section and Fig. 4 is a plan view thereof with part cut.
The orange press shown in Fig. 1 and 2 has an approximately spherical cap-shaped or. Egg-cup-shaped trough 1, wel che is dimensioned so that an orange half 0 of average size with the cut surface upwards finds place in it. The recess has an opening at the bottom in the middle and is firmly connected to a stand 2.
In the stand 2, a sieve 3 is hinged so that it can be folded down, and under the sieve there is still space for a juice bowl 4. The sieve 3 has a central, conical elevation, so that when it is pressed. of a fruit falling from the trough, coarse Be components of the same slide off to the side and so the center of the sieve remains permeable for the fruit juice dripping down. On the inner surface, the trough has ribs la running downwards from the upper edge, on which the fruit half rests with its shell, so that there is enough free space between the latter and the trough wall for the juice squeezed out of the fruit to pass through.
A holder for a press cone 8, which has the shape of a can-shaped cover 5, is articulated by means of a hinge 6 on the upper edge of the trough. On the hinge 6, a fruit peel lifter 7, which rests on the inside of the trough wall and has an outer projection 7a, which is directed upwards so that the hinged lid 5 presses on it when it is opened, swivels the fruit lifter 7 upwards. so that it lifts the skin of the squeezed fruit and makes it easier to remove it. The side wall of the hinged cover 5 has internal thread 5a, which only leaves an annular strip 5b free at the lower edge,
and in this thread 5a the press cone 8 is guided with a threaded projection 8a. The pressing cone 8 is seated on a spindle 9, which is guided through the hinged lid base and at the upper end of which a hand crank 10 is attached. The press cone is spirally grooved on the circumference and ends in a point.
To press a half of the fruit placed in the trough 1, the pressing cone is rotated by means of the hand crank 10 and then moved downwards by rotating. In the lower position, it leaves the thread 5a and rotates freely in the fruit half under the pressure exerted on the hand crank. The juice is squeezed out completely without the risk of excessive pressure being exerted on the fruit skin, which would squeeze out the bitter substances contained in the latter, in contrast to other presses in which the fruit simply passes through a ram is crushed by leverage.
After Auspres sen, the shell 4 with the juice is removed from the stand, the press cone 8 is rotated back into the hinged lid and the latter is opened and the fruit shell raised by the fruit peel lifter 7 is removed from the press.
The lemon squeezer according to FIGS. 3 and 4 is designed to be placed on a drinking glass or mug. The trough 1 is shaped in its lower part as an ellipsoid, roughly the oval of half a transversely divided lemon, and below the upper edge has a wide attachment flange 1b, so that it can also be placed on vessels whose diameter is slightly larger . The trough has ribs on the inner surface and a central opening at the bottom. Near the lower end of the trough a sieve 3 is attached to the same, in which thick Be constituents and kernels of the same are retained th when the fruit is pressed.
On the upper edge of the trough 1, a hinge 6 is used to articulate a bracket 5 which is used to hold the pressing cone 8 and which is held closed by means of a spring bolt 11. The bracket 5 has in the middle of the transverse part a nut thread in which a screw spindle bearing the press cone 9a leads ge, at the upper end of which the hand crank 10 is attached. The pressing cone 8 is also shaped accordingly to the oval of a lemon half and grooved on the circumference.
Instead of the hand crank, handle wings or a handle knob could also be provided on the spindle 9a, for example.
