  Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen     Textilhilfsmittels.       Wir haben gefunden, dass durch     Sulfonie-          rung    von     Hydroxylgruppen    im     ss,y    -     Dihy-          droxy-n-propylamid    von     Stearinsäure    durch  die Wirkung eines sulfonierenden Agens, wie  zum. Beispiel     Pyridinschwefelsäureanhydrid,     ein neues     Textilhilfsmittel    mit wertvollen  Eigenschaften erhalten wird.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>       1(17    Teile     Stearinsäure-ss,y-dihydroxy-n-          propylamid    (hergestellt zum Beispiel durch       Zusammenerhitzen    von     Stearinsäure    und     ss,y-          Dihydroxy    - n -     propylamin,    bis kein Dampf  mehr frei wird) werden in 76 Teilen trocke  nem     Pyridin    bei<B>90'</B> C aufgelöst und mit  166 Teilen feingepulvertem, 90%igem Na  triumpyrosulfat behandelt. Das Gemisch  wird eifrig umgerührt und die Temperatur  eine Stunde auf<B>90'</B> C aufrechterhalten.

   Das       igen,     Produkt wird in 400 Teile einer IM gen,  wässerigen     Natriumcarbonatlösung    geschüt-         tet,    in welcher es sich zu einer klaren Lösung  auflöst. Diese wird abgekühlt, vom kristalli  sierten Natriumsulfat     abgefiltert    und bis zur  Trockene verdampft. Auf diese Weise wird  ein weisses Pulver erhalten, welches durch  Auflösen in kochendem Alkohol     (methyl-          alkoholhaltigem    Industriesprit) gereinigt und  vom     zurückbleibenden        Natriumsulfat        abge-          filtert    wird, worauf das Filtrat kristallisie  ren gelassen wird.

   Hierbei wird ein weisser  Festkörper erhalten, welcher in weichem oder  hartem Wasser zu einer reinigenden Lösung  löslich ist.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen Textilhilfsmittels, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man Stearinsäure-ss,y-dihydroxy-n-pro- pylamid mit einem sulfonierenden Agens be handelt. Der so erhaltene Schwefelsäureester ist ein weisser fester Körper, der in weichem oder hartem Wasser zu einer reinigenden Lö sung löslich ist. UNTERANSPRUCH Verfahren nach Patentanspruch, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man als sulfonierendes Agens Pyridinschwefelsäureanhydrid ver wendet.
