Coupeuse automatique verticale.
La coupeuse automatique verticale repré sentée est plus spécialement -destinée à sec tionner les tuyaux d'argile sortant d'une presse; elle comporte un bâti présentant quatre colonnes 1, 2, 3, 4 sur lesquelles est ajusté, au moyen de glissières telles que 5 et 6, un chariot constitué par des fers àU tels que 7 et 8 entretoisés par des fers tels que 9 et 10; à ce chariot est fixé, au moyen de fers 12, un plateau 11 sur lequel vient appuyer le tuyau d'argile à couper issu de la presse; ladite coupeuse comprend un cou teau constitué par un fil 13 tendu entre .les extrémités d'une armature 14;
La roue à excentrique 19, étant folle sur un arbre moteur 20, est sus ceptible -d'en être rendue solidaire au moyen d'un cliquet 21 retenu par un levier 22; le cliquet 21 est, d'une part, monté à pivot sur un axe figé à la roue 19 et, :d'autre part, il peut engrener avec une roue à rochet 27 clavetée sur l'arbre 20; le levier 22 est com mandé par une tige articulée 23, mise en mou vement par l'intermédiaire d'un ergot régla ble 24 au moyen d'un tenon 25 pouvant cou lisser et ajusté au flasque 26 du chariot mo bile;
Sur l'autre poulie passe un câble 37 figé également par l'une de ses extrémités -à l'axe 35 solidaire du chariot, son autre extrémité pouvant s'enrouler sur une poulie 38 folle sur le moyeu d'une roue 39; la poulie 38 comprend une partie 40 munie -d'un rochet 41, .dans lequel peut jouer un cliquet 42 monté à pivot sur la roue 39, ce -qui rend cette dernière solidaire de la poulie folle 38;
la coupeuse représentée fonctionne comme suit: , Le plateau 11, sous le poids du tuyau, commence à descendre en entraînant le cha riot mobile et le tenon 25 qui vient buter contre l'ergot réglable 24; celui-ci actionne la tige 23, laquelle presse sur le levier 22 libé rant le cliquet 21; celui-ci permet, par l'in termédiaire de la roue à rochet 27, de solida riser la roue à excentrique 19 avec l'arbre mo teur 20, de façon à actionner, par les leviers 17 et 18, l'axe 16, le tube 15 et le couteau 14 de la coupeuse;
Vertical automatic cutter. The object of the present invention is an automatic vertical cutter. It is characterized in that it comprises a movable carriage, in the vertical direction, on a frame comprising several columns, said carriage being provided with a plate on which the object to be cut is likely to rest, the cutter. comprising a knife fixed to a tube driven by an axis set in motion by -viers actuated by an eccentric capable of being made integral with a shaft driven by a motor, -means being provided to set said carriage in motion and the aforementioned knife.
The appended drawings show, by way of example, one embodiment of the neck, object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is an elevational view in partial section along IV-IV of FIG. 2; Fig. 2 is a partial sectional view along I-II-III of FIG. 1; Fig. 3 is an elevational view, and FIG. 4 is a plan view of a tenon fitted to the carriage and capable of sliding.
The vertical automatic cutter shown is more specially designed to cut clay pipes coming out of a press; it comprises a frame having four columns 1, 2, 3, 4 on which is adjusted, by means of slides such as 5 and 6, a carriage consisting of U irons such as 7 and 8 braced by irons such as 9 and 10; to this carriage is fixed, by means of irons 12, a plate 11 on which the clay pipe to be cut from the press rests; said cutter comprises a knife formed by a wire 13 stretched between the ends of a frame 14;
the latter is adjustable and fixed to a tube 15 driven in rotation by an axis 16 set in motion by levers 17 and 18 actuated by an eccentric wheel 19. On the other hand, the tube 15 is driven by the carriage. its back and forth movement.
The eccentric wheel 19, being idle on a drive shaft 20, is capable of being made integral with it by means of a pawl 21 retained by a lever 22; the pawl 21 is, on the one hand, pivotally mounted on an axis fixed to the wheel 19 and, on the other hand, it can mesh with a ratchet wheel 27 keyed on the shaft 20; the lever 22 is controlled by an articulated rod 23, set in motion by means of an adjustable lug 24 by means of a tenon 25 which can slide smoothly and adjusted to the flange 26 of the movable carriage;
when the latter rises, said tenon 25, abutting against the chamfer of er got 24, is pushed back in the direction of arrow b (fig. 3), then, under the action of a spring a, returns to its initial position when it has passed said lug. Likewise, the rod 23, under the action of. lever 22, driven by a spring 22 ', returns to its initial position.
An axis 32, fixed to the upper part of the frame of the cutter, is provided with two pou lies such as 83; on one of them passes a cable 34 fixed at one of its ends by a pin 35 to the mobile carriage, its other end being provided with an adjustable counterweight 36, designed to balance the said carriage very exactly and the tray 11.
On the other pulley passes a cable 37 also fixed by one of its ends - to the axis 35 integral with the carriage, its other end being able to be wound on a pulley 38 idle on the hub of a wheel 39; the pulley 38 comprises a part 40 provided -d'un ratchet 41, .in which can play a pawl 42 pivotally mounted on the wheel 39, which -qui makes the latter integral with the idler pulley 38;
the wheel 39, in turn, is freely mounted on the hub of a ratchet wheel 44 keyed to the drive shaft 20; the latter are liable to be made integral by means of a pawl 43, adapted to the wheel 39, released in turn by a lever 28 on the end of which abuts an adjustable lug 29, fitted on a rod 30, set in motion by the movable carriage to which it is fixed by means of the flange 26. The pawl 43, once released, engages with the wheel 44 and the rest for one revolution, at the end of which it is returned inoperative by lever 28 actuated by spring 28 '.
The same motor shaft 20 drives the eccentric controlling the knife and the pulley 38 enabling the carriage to be reassembled. The mobile carriage being at the top of its -course, the cable 37 wound around @de the pulley 38, the shaft 20 being driven by a motor, and a pipe (not shown) from the press coming to rest on the plate 17.
the cutter shown operates as follows: the plate 11, under the weight of the pipe, begins to descend, driving the movable carriage and the tenon 25 which abuts against the adjustable lug 24; the latter actuates the rod 23, which presses on the lever 22 releasing the pawl 21; this allows, by means of the ratchet wheel 27, to secure the eccentric wheel 19 with the motor shaft 20, so as to actuate, by the levers 17 and 18, the axis 16, the tube 15 and the knife 14 of the cutter;
simultaneously, the carriage and the plate 11 descend under the weight of the cut pipe, unwinding the cable 37 and driving the rod 30, the lug 29 of which abuts on the lever 28, which releases the pawl 43; the latter, coming to play on the ratchet wheel 44, secures the latter with the wheel 39, which, in turn, by means of the pawl 42 and the ratchet 41, drives the idler pulley 38 which, being then secured of the shaft 20, rotates with the latter so as to wind the cable 37 and to reassemble the carriage when the latter is unloaded from the cut pipe. The diameter of the pulley 38 is chosen so that one revolution of the latter is sufficient to raise the carriage.
It should be noted that the position of the lug 24 being adjustable on the rod 23, the insistence of the action of the latter on the lever 22, and consequently the instant of the action, of the eccentric is also, which thus makes it possible to adjust the triggering of the knife, which moves vertically at the same time as the plate 11.
