Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen Farbstoffes der Anthrachinonreihe. Vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf die Herstellung eines neuen Farbstoffes der Formel

Der Farbstoff der obigen Formel wird erhalten, indem 'man 1-Amino-4-methogy- anthrachinon mit 2 :2'-Dinitro-4 :
4'-dicarb- ogy-diphenyldisulfid kondensiert, das resul tierende Disulfid auf das entsprechende Thio- phenol reduziert, dieses mit einer a-Halogen- n-Buttersäure kondensiert. Das Produkt ist ein braunes Pulver, welches Wolle aus einem Essigsäurebad in Orangetönen färbt, welches naeh einer Nachbehandlung mit verdünnter Mineralsäure in kräftiges Scharlach übergeht.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 12,2 Teile der Zwischenverbindung, wel che aus 2 : 2'-Dinitro-4 : 4'-dicarbogydiphenyl- disulfid und 1-Amino-4-methogyanthrachinon wie im Beispiel<B>2</B> der britischen Patentanmel dung Nr. 24403/32 erhalten wurde, werden mit 200 Teilen Wasser zu einem glatten Teig gemacht. Diesem werden 50 Teile Natrium sulfidkristalle zugesetzt und wird das Gemisch eine halbe Stunde bei 65 bis 70 C um gerührt. Nach dem Abkühlen wird das Na- triummercaptid gefällt, abgefiltert und mit 20%iger Salzlösung gewaschen.
Diese Zwi schenverbindung wird in 200 Teilen Wasser aufgelöst und werden der Lösung 14 Teile a-Brom-n-Buttersäure zugesetzt, welche vor her in Wasser aufgelöst und mit der an gepassten Menge Natriumcarbönat neutrali siert wurden. Weitere 10 Teile Natriumcar- bonat werden zugesetzt und wird das Ge misch drei Viertelstunden auf 90 bis 95 erwärmt. Nach Abkühlung auf<B>700</B> wird der Farbstoff abgefiltert und mit verdünn ter Salzlösung gewaschen.
Der neue Farbstoff färbt Wolle aus einem essigsauren Bad in Orangetönen, welche nach einer Nachbehand- lung mit schwacher 1,Tineralsäure in einen kräftigen Scharlachton von ausgezeichneter Wasch- und Lichtbeständigkeit übergeht.

The product is a brown powder which dyes wool from an acetic acid bath in shades of orange, which turns into strong scarlet fever after an aftertreatment with dilute mineral acid.
