Waschmaschine.
Washing machine. In the washing machines of known constructions, in which the washing drum can be tipped out of the tub by means of a tilting device in order to empty the drum, the bearing axis of the drum was previously arranged above the edge of the tub. The cover, which lies on the edge of the container to seal it off, therefore had to be provided with recesses for the drum axis.
It was now unavoidable during operation that large quantities of boiling lye flowed out to these recesses, especially since the washing drum had to be immersed as deeply as possible in the lye to improve the washing effect and therefore the lye container had to be filled to the brim.
The washing machine according to the present invention now has the advantage over the known embodiments that the bearings of the drum are arranged beneath the lye container edge, so that when the container is full, the drum and its contents go deeper into the lye, up to above its centerline diving comes, which is of particular value for the laundry and the utilization of the lye.
In the drawing, the subject of the invention is shown in an exemplary embodiment.
Fig. 1 shows a washing machine with Mo gate drive; Fig. 2 is a section through the drum bearing on the drive side and Fig. 3 is a section through the second bearing; FIG. 4 is a section along line I-I of FIG.
A motor 2, namely a water piston motor in a commercially available embodiment, is attached to the side of the container 1, which rotates the drum 4, which is covered by the hood 3, to and fro by means of the gear 5 seated on the shaft 6. The shaft 6 is with the drum axis 7, 8 through the loose coupling 9 a related party. The two bearings 10 and 13 are arranged below the upper edge 16 of the container 1 and open to the top on the inside of the loading container wall so that the drum 4 can be excavated. In the bearing 10, this opening is denoted by 14 and in the bearing 13 by 15.
To support the shaft 6, the bearing 10 is passed through the loading container wall and provided with a stuffing box 11 with seal 12, which prevents the outflow of container contents ver.
For the purpose of emptying the drum, after turning off the engine and lifting the hood, the exposed drum can be lifted out of the bearings with a suitable tilting device 17 without further manipulation. In Fig. 1, the end tilt position is indicated by dash-dotted lines.
The practical construction of the coupling according to the embodiment shown allows a quick and easy separation of the divided drive shaft, and since the drive elements except for the drum axis remain in their bearings during the entire tilting process, wear and tear of the same due to the tilting process is excluded .
