  Verfahren zur Darstellung eines     Oxycarbazolcarbonsäurearylamids.       Es wurde gefunden, dass man ein als wert  volles     Zwischenprodukt    für die Herstellung  von     Farbstoffen    verwendbares     Oxycarbazol-          oarbonsäurearylamid    erhält, wenn man eine  Verbindung der Formel

    in der X einen bei der Reaktion sich abspal  tenden     Substituenten,    zum Beispiel -OH  oder Halogen, bedeutet, mit     o-Methoxy-p-          chloranilin    umsetzt.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  42,1     gr        9-Methyl-2-oxycarbazol-3-carbon-          säure    und 18     gr        1-Amino-2-methoxy-4-chlor-          benzol    werden in 500 cm'     Toluol    gelöst. Bei  <B>60-650</B> lässt man unter Rühren innerhalb       '/s    Stunde 7     gr        Phosphortrichlorid        zutropfen,     erwärmt dann langsam zum Sieden und hält  das Reaktionsprodukt 8 Stunden bei dieser  Temperatur.

   Dann     macbt    man mit     Sodalö-          sung    alkalisch, bläst mit Wasserdampf alles    Flüchtige ab, saugt von dem ausgeschiedenen       Arylid    ab und wäscht mit Wasser aus. Man  erhält das     9-@Zethyl-2-oxycarbazol-3-carboyl-          amino-2'-methoxy-4'-chlorbenzol    vom F. P.  223   in Form eines     gelbstichig    weissen Pulvers.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Darstellung eines Oxycar- bazolearbonsäurearylamids, dadurch gekenn zeichnet, dass man eine Verbindung der Formel EMI0001.0031 in der g einen bei der Reaktion sich abspal tenden Substituenten bedeutet mit o-Methoxy- p-chloranilin umsetzt. Das neue 9-Methyl-2-oxycarbazol-3-carbo- ylamino-2'-methoxy-4'-chlorbenzol hat den F. P. 2230. Es stellt ein gelbstichig weisses Pulver dar. PATENT CLAIM: Process for the preparation of an Oxycar- bazolearbonsäurearylamids, characterized in that a compound of the formula EMI0001.0031 in the g means a substituent which splits off during the reaction with o-methoxy-p-chloroaniline.
