  Verfahren zur Darstellung eines     Oxycarbazolcarbonsäurearylamids.       Es wurde gefunden, dass man     ein    als  wertvolles Zwischenprodukt für die Herstel  lung von Farbstoffen verwendbares     Oxy-          earbazolcarbonsäurearylamid    erhält, wenn  man eine Verbindung .der     Formel

    in der X einen bei ,der Reaktion sich     übspal-          tenden        Substituenten,    wie -OH oder Halo  gen     bedeutet,    mit     Anilin    umsetzt.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>       ?4,1        -r        9-Methyl-2-oxycarbazol-3-carbon-          säure    und 10,2     gr    Anilin werden in 400 cm'       Toluol    gelöst. Bei 60 bis 65   lässt man unter  Rühren innerhalb einer halben Stunde 7     gr          Phosphortrichlorid        zutropfen,    erwärmt dann  langsam zum Sieden und hält das Reaktions  produkt 8 Stunden bei dieser Temperatur.  Dann macht man mit     Sodalösung    alkalisch,  bläst mit Wasserdampf alles Flüchtige ab,    saugt von dem ausgeschiedenen     Arylid    ab  und wäscht mit Wasser aus.  



  Das neue     9-M.ethyl-2-oxycarbazol-3-car-          boylaminobenzo.1    vom F. P. 254' ist eine       gelbe    kristalline Substanz.

Das neue 9-blethyl-2-oxycarbazol-3-car- boylaminobenzol vom F. P. 254' ist eine gelbe kristalline Substanz.
