  Verfahren zur Darstellung eines     Ogycarbazolcarbonsänrearylamids.       Es wurde gefunden, dass man ein als wert  volles Zwischenprodukt für die Herstellung  von     Farbstoffen    verwendbares     Oxycarbazol-          carbonsäurearylamid    erhält, wenn man eine  Verbindung der Formel

    in der     g    einen bei der Reaktion sich abspal  tenden     Substituenten,    zum Beispiel -OH oder  Halogen, bedeutet, mit     2.5-Dimethogyanilin     umsetzt.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  24,1     gr        9-Methyl-2-oxycarbazol-3-carbon-          säure    und 18     gr        2.5-Dimethoxyanilin    werden  in 500 cm'     Toluol    gelöst. Bei 60-65   lässt  man unter Rühren innerhalb '/a Stunde 12     gr          Phosphortrichlorid        zutropfen,    erwärmt dann  langsam zum Sieden und hält das Reaktions  produkt 8 Stunden bei dieser Temperatur.  Dann macht man mit     Sodalösung    alkalisch,  bläst mit Wasserdampf alles Flüchtige ab,    saugt von dem ausgeschiedenen     Arylid    ab  und wäscht mit Wasser aus.

   Man erhält das       9-Methyl-2-oxycarb        azol    - 3 -     carboylamin    o -     2'5'-          dimethoxybenzol    vom F. P.     2-15      in Form  eines     gelbstichig    weissen Pulvers.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Darstellung eines Oxycar- bazolcarbonsäurearylamids, dadurch gekenn zeichnet, dass man eine Verbindung der Formel EMI0001.0029 in der g einen bei der Reaktion sich abspal tenden Substituenten bedeutet, mit 2.5-Di- methoxyanilin umsetzt. Das neue 9-Methyl-2-oxycarbazol-3-carboyl- amino-2'5'-dimethoxybenzol hat den F. P. 245 . Es stellt ein gelbstichig weisses Pulver dar.
