Device for disengaging a loom by the chain breaker. The present invention relates to a device for disengaging a weaving loom by the chain breaker at the time of the breaking of a thread, the chain breaker being of the type with lamellae and toothed bars for taking the lamellae.
The disengagement device, object of the invention, is characterized by a double-acting disengagement control member, mounted on a spring and arranged to be able to exert normally an oscillating movement so as to actuate the toothed bars of the chain breaker. , the oscillating movement of the control member being prevented during the fall of a chain breaker blade, this oscillating movement then being replaced by a sliding movement of the control member, which has the effect of putting in position the disengaging components.
The device may be arranged so that the clutch linkage remains immobilized during normal operation of the loom. Means acting on the clutch control member may be provided to allow the worker not healthy behind the loom, to stop, if necessary, the loom by hand.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the present invention. FIG. 1 is a front view; Fig. 2 is a section through A-B of FIG. 1; Fig. 3 is a plan view; Fig. 4 shows the clutch control member in the loom stop position. The leading axis 5 of the chain breaker is controlled by an eccentric, not shown in the drawing and preferably fixed on the camshaft of the loom, the eccentric acting by means of a rod 1 , a joint 2, an adjustable rod 3 and a lever 4 fixed on the axis 5.
The latter is housed in a support 11, fixed against the frame 12 of the chain breaker and carries at one of its ends a segment 6 with two notches 6 'and 6 ". A double-acting release control member, sector 9, which can slide vertically on the barrel of segment 6, is normally kept raised by a pin 7 under the action of a spring 8, the pin 7 resting on the segment 6. Two pins 10 and 10 ', screwed into sector 9 and corresponding exactly with the two notches 6' and 6 "of segment 6, ensure the engagement of the sliding sector 9 on the barrel of segment 6. A carriage 16, which is movable on the axis 5, carries the toothed chain breaker bars 19, which are fixed to the carriage 16 by means of the pins 18.
A latch 17, having its pivot in the upper part of the carriage 16, engages by its own weight in a notch 17 'made in the sliding sector 9, thus connecting the carriage 16 to the sector 9 and the latter, by its two studs 10 and 10 ', with the notched segment 6, fixed on the leading axis 5. A rod 13, which is integral with the support 11, forms the pivot of a double lever 14. The latter touches the sector 9 by means of a flat part, while its opposite branch is connected to the release linkage 15 of the loom.
The operation of the device described is as follows: The action of the control members 1, 2, 3 and 4 gives an oscillating movement to the axis 5, on which is fixed the notched segment 6. By the notches 6 'and 6 "of segment 6, which attack the pins 10 and 10 'of the sliding sector 9, an oscillating movement is also imparted to the latter and is transmitted by the connection latch 17 to the carriage 16, in order to give the toothed bars 19 their known back and forth movement.
As a result of the breakage of a warp thread, the strip which overlaps it falls into one of the notches of the toothed bars 19 and thus stops the latter in their reciprocating stroke. As a result, the oscillating movement of the carriage 16 and that of the sector 9 are also stopped. Given, however, that the oscillating movement of the notched segment 6 continues, one of the notches 6 'or 6 "of the latter engages on one of the pins 10 or 10', thus imparting a downward movement to the sliding sector 9 by slightly compressing the spring 8, which supports this sector.
This vertical movement of the center of the sliding sector 9 has the effect of causing the double lever 14 to pivot, which, being connected to the linkage, places the disengagement members which were immobilized until the moment of the fall of a slat. .
The pawl 17, provided with a handle, released from the notch 17 'of the sector 9 by the worker, allows the latter to manually actuate the toothed bars to facilitate the search for the engaged blade, respectively. broken wire. The same pawl 17, by simple pressure, is also used to stop the loom when the worker, being behind his loom, wishes to stop it for any reason.
