Via pressure relief valve. The object of the present invention has for the purpose of making containers such. B. electrically or gas-heated boilers, or compressed air and gas boiler, to protect against overpressure.
Compared to other known overpressure valves, this overpressure relief valve has a membrane which tries to open the valve when there is overpressure, thereby creating a connection between the pressure space in the Ven valve with the atmosphere and which is centrally perforated, with all the holes through its opening The amount of liquid or gas to be discharged flows off or flows out.
In the drawing, two execution examples of the subject invention are provided.
Fig. 1 shows the first embodiment in vertical section; Fig. 2 shows a further embodiment in partial view and partial vertical section.
The pressure relief valve according to FIG. 1 has a valve housing a into which the liquid or the gas enters through the connection piece b in the direction of the arrow shown. The working diaphragm c, which delimits the pressure chamber d on one side, is held in place by the cover e. The working membrane c is perforated in the middle. A valve seat g is inserted through this hole f and this is screwed into an extension h, while the membrane c is firmly clamped between itself and the extension.
The compression spring k is clamped between the extension h and an adjustable adjusting ring i. The tensioning force of the compression spring k can be regulated with the adjusting ring i . The inner clear diameter of the compression spring k is dimensioned such that the extension h can be pushed through this compression spring k without preventing the spring from moving. l is the sealing surface and m is the discharge line under atmospheric pressure.
The mode of operation of the pressure relief valve is as follows: If the pressure in the pressure chamber d rises above the limit predetermined by the spring pressure of the compression spring k, this causes the valve seat g to be lifted from the sealing surface 1 and the liquid or the gas can pass through the The seat hole and the extension h pass through it into the drain pipe na which is under atmospheric pressure.
After this overpressure release, the compression spring k presses the valve seat g again against its associated sealing surface 1, and the overpressure release valve is ready again to release another overpressure that occurs.
The embodiment according to FIG. 2 differs from that according to FIG. 1 by the fact that below the adjusting ring i, the extension h has a collar n and a lever mechanism o is arranged on the cover. A pressure on the longer lever part p is transmitted to the collar n by means of your shorter lever part q, and this causes the pressure relief valve to open for control purposes.
If a medium flows through the pressure relief valve, which could attack the material of the working membrane, a flexible protective membrane disc 2- made of celluloid or Bakelite or other suitable material can be clamped between this working membrane c and the valve housing a on the pressure side.
