Device for sterilizing and cleaning vessels with an opening on a neck-like part, in particular bottles. From the main patent no. 125934 it is known to sterilize vessels, in particular bottles, because they, clamped in a device, revolve around a wagrecb.te or inclined axis, with the lower position, for example Bottles are filled with a sterilizing agent and empty again at the transition to the upper layer. It was now found that gas residues and droplets still remain in the bottle when it has been emptied of the aqueous sterilizing agent.
This imperfection of the device is eliminated according to the invention in that the vessel, which fills with the aqueous sterilization solution in the lower position as it rotates around a non-vertical axis, is filled with a sterile gas in the upper position in which the emptying takes place is freed from the residual gas and from the drops of the aqueous solution. In the accompanying schematic drawing, an example of the device is shown in cross section.
The container a is filled up to about half with the aqueous sterilizing agent, which flows out of this into the bottles b pressed under the same, whereby these are sterilized. If the bottle reaches the top when the device is switched further, the sterilizing agent flows back from the bottle into the container a.
The container a has a sliding surface c on the side with the same number of holes d as bottles can be connected to the container a. The bores d are in communication with blowpipes e, which protrude from the socket, but in such a way that the outlet opening of the socket is not filled, but that a passage remains for the sterilization agent. The bottle is pushed over such a tube when the bottle is pressed against the container a.
When the bottles are filled and emptied with the sterilizing agent, the respective tube is inactive. However, if the bottle is completely or partially emptied, the associated tube e comes into the area of the inlet opening f made in the fixed slide part. A sterile gas, for example sterile air, flows through this to the bottle and drives gaseous residues and stuck drops of the aqueous sterilizing agent back through the nozzle opening g into the container a.
The container a has a connection to the outside through the pipeline h, and through this, for example, the used air flows away.
