Description
Überlappende Blechverbindung. Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine überlappende Blechverbindung, die derart aus gebildet ist, dass die Prüfung der Dichtheit derselben mittelst einer in einem Zwischenraum zwischen den überlappten Blechen eingepress- ten Druckflüssigkeit erfolgen kann.
Sie besteht darin, dass die Abdichtung des Prüfzwischenraums einerseits mittelst einer Schweissnaht und anderseits durch einen Dichtungsring bewerkstelligt ist, wobei im Falle schräger Überlappung der Bleche der genannte Dichtungsring zweckmässig so an geordnet ist, dass er beim Übereinanderschie- ben der Bleche eine Verpressung erfährt.
Die Zeichnung veranschaulicht mehrere Ausführungsbeispiele des Erfindungsgegen standes bei Rundnahtsehluss; Fig. f. und 2 zeigen zwei Ausführungen der Verbindung dickwandiger Bleche; Fig. 3 zeigt die Verbindung dünnwandi ger, überlappender Bleche.
Bei allen Ausführungsformen sind die Blechenden 9., B so ausgebildet, dass im überlappten Zustande zwischen ihnen ein Zwischenraum C vorhanden ist, in den nach Verschweissen der Endstösse mittelst einer Bohrung b eine Druckflüssigkeit zur Prüfung der Dichtheit der Verbindung eingepresst werden kann. In den Zwischenräumen C ist ein Dichtungsring d eingelegt, der bei schrä ger Überlappung der Bleche beim Übereinan- derschieben derselben durch den konischen Anzug der Blechenden eine Vorpressung er fährt.
Nachdem die Schweissnaht i ausgeführt ist, kann durch die Öffnung bin den Zwi schenraum C die Druckflüssigkeit eingepresst werden, wobei die Dichtung einerseits durch den Dichtungsring d, anderseits durch die Schweissnaht i gebildet wird. Letztere kann auf diese Weise auf ihre Dichtheit geprüft werden. Analogerweise wird die Prüfung der Dichtheit der Schweissnaht a unter Benutzung des gleichen Dichtungsringes d vorgenommen.
Overlapping sheet metal connection. The present invention relates to an overlapping sheet metal connection which is designed in such a way that the tightness of the same can be checked by means of a pressure fluid pressed into a space between the overlapped sheets.
It consists in the sealing of the test space on the one hand by means of a weld seam and on the other hand by a sealing ring, whereby in the case of an oblique overlap of the sheets the said sealing ring is expediently arranged in such a way that it experiences a compression when the sheets are pushed over one another.
The drawing illustrates several exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention in the case of a circular seam; Fig. F. and Fig. 2 show two embodiments of the connection of thick-walled sheets; Fig. 3 shows the connection thin wall ger, overlapping metal sheets.
In all embodiments, the sheet metal ends 9, B are designed so that in the overlapping state there is an interspace C between them, into which, after the end joints have been welded, a pressure fluid can be pressed by means of a bore b to test the tightness of the connection. A sealing ring d is inserted into the spaces C, which, when the sheets overlap at an angle, when they are pushed over one another, is pre-pressed due to the conical tightening of the sheet ends.
After the weld seam i has been made, the pressure fluid can be pressed in through the opening in the intermediate space C, the seal being formed on the one hand by the sealing ring d and on the other hand by the weld seam i. The latter can be checked for leaks in this way. In an analogous manner, the tightness of the weld seam a is tested using the same sealing ring d.
