Fuel pump unit for internal combustion engines. In known fuel pump units, the individual pump cylinders are built directly into a housing usually made of light metal. This has the disadvantage that, as a result of permanent deformations of the light metal housing after the pump cylinder has been pulled into the housing for more t5, leaks occur or that inaccuracies occur in the control of the pump.
Furthermore, the A set of the regulating device in such pumps is difficult when the regulating organs, as usual, are located entirely inside the Pum pengehäusen.
According to the invention, the pump cylinders are built into a special plate which is connected to the pump housing and can be easily replaced together with the pump cylinders.
An embodiment of the subject invention is shown schematically in the drawing.
Fig. 1 shows a pump unit known ter design in cross section; F'ig. 2 is a cross section, and FIG. 3 is a longitudinal section of a pump unit according to the invention.
In FIG. 1, a is the pump housing, c is a pump cylinder and l is its delivery piston. d represents the housing of a liquid spring which, in addition to a spring r, acts on the storage piston k . This housing d is attached to the pump cylinder c with a nut n. This pump cylinder c sits with the conical part f directly in the pump housing a and is held in its position by the nipple m, to which the pressure line is connected. i is the suction channel and h is the pressure channel. o is the regulating gear and p is the regulating rack.
As a result of the resilience of the light metal housing a, the weakly conical seat for the pump cylinder c in the housing a is compressed after repeated disassembly and assembly of the cylinder c and consequently expanded. As a result, the pump cylinder c always comes in a different position in the axial direction with respect to the pump housing a and as a result the position of the suction channel i and pressure channel h relative to the delivery piston 1, </ I> which means that the start of suction and injection is also changed with respect to the piston position of the internal combustion engine.
This occurs on the assumption that the hole in the pump cylinder for the nipple m is reworked each time, so that the pump cylinder c always fits snugly into the conical hole of the pump housing a. If this reworking of the hole in the pump cylinder is not carried out, so that the nipple m always fits exactly into this hole, a certain amount of play will arise between the pump cylinder and the conical seat in the pump housing after repeated dismantling and reassembly, which then results in fuel losses to the outside enter.
Furthermore, the adjustability of the Regu liervorrichtung is very difficult, because the Pum pen housing is completely closed at the top.
In Fig. 2 and 3 a is the pump housing on which the expediently made of steel plate b for the pump cylinder c is screwed and 1 a För derkolben. The housing d of a liquid spring is screwed onto the pump cylinder c.
This pump cylinder has a round flange e, which rests against the lower side of the plate b when the conical part f of the pump cylinder c is firmly drawn into the plate b by means of the liquid housing d that is designed as a nut and which is seen below Edge y is supported against the upper side of plate b. Thereby, liquid losses to the outside are impossible,
on the other hand, the pump body is always drawn equally deep into the conical opening of the plate b. In this way, the pressure channel h 1, the suction channel i and also the storage piston k always come in the same position relative to the delivery piston 1, to the suction line q and to the pressure line t which are provided in the plate b .
The pump housing is open at the top on both long sides. As a result, the regulating gearwheels -o provided at the bottom of the pump bodies can be introduced very easily into the regulating rack p.
